We're thinking about taking our son to Disneyland in a few weeks because we scored some free tickets that we have to use before the end of June. We weren't planning on taking him until he was 3 but hey...free tickets! The only issue is that I'll be 28 weeks pregnant.
Do you think it's a bad idea for me to go? I'm sure there will be tons of walking around but I figure if we take breaks from time to time, I should be fine? Or am I crazy?

My concern would be the heat. I'm in Nashville and it's already so hot here. I went for a short walk with my husband yesterday and really got overheated quickly.... and I'm only 11 weeks. Florida in June could be quite brutal if you are going to spend a whole day walking around the park.

@banana: Heck, I am 39 weeks pregnant and I would go to Disneyland now!
I think at 28 weeks you will be totally fine, unless you are at risk for pre-term labor. Just make sure you drink TONS of water and take breaks when you need them. 
You deserve to have a little fun before baby comes!

I did a big trip to NYC with a girlfriend at 27 weeks and was fine! I was a little sore from all the walking around but I think I would have been that way even if I wasn't pregnant!

Ah! I was thinking Disney World! My bad. I don't know enough about the California weather to have an idea of what that would be like. @banana: I think you live in Cali? If so you know whether you can handle the heat. If that's not a concern then I say go for it!

@banana: I think as long as you don't overdo it you shoudl go for it! It's a great memory to create with your son before your next baby arrives!

I went to Disneyworld around the same time as you, @banana and had no problems. I was still able to walk around and was actually doing better than my husband! I wasn't able to go on all of the attractions, but we still had a blast.

You won't be able to go on some of the best rides 
but it would be very, very hard for me to pass up free tickets!!!

If you get tired, rent a wheelchair and have hubby push you around! lol... good practice for the stroller.

We have passes and go to Disneyland all the time. That included during my last pregnancy. You can't go on big rides but I'm assuming you wouldn't anyways since you are going with your son. I went up until I was 36 weeks when i was pregnant with my fourth. Trust me you won't be the only pregnant momma there. I always see tons of pregnant women there. Drink lots, take breaks, pack snacks, you should be fine

I think I would go at 28 weeks! I was feeling great in the second trimester and would have LOVED to have gone through Disneyland at that point! Definitely take a water bottle and keep hydrated, but have fun!

Thanks ladies! I think I WILL go for it! haha. Like @jessiejo17 mentioned, I'd love this to be one of our "just the 3 of us" trips before baby #2 joins our family. Plus, free tickets! Can't pass it up right? Glad to hear that I won't be the only pregnant woman there (wouldn't want people giving me the stink eye while I stand in line at Pirates of the Caribbean). OMG I'm so excited now! Haven't been to Disneyland in SO long!
@mamamoose @Mrsdaredevil: Yes, I'm in California! The weather is actually really nice right now (cool but sunny) so I'm not too concerned about the heat. Hopefully it doesn't start getting hot in the next few weeks though! But man, I'd LOVE to go to Disneyworld with my family soon (maybe in a few years). I've never been to Disneyworld!!!

@chopsuey119: I'm just worried about getting evil looks from other pregnant women who are further along than I am! haha. I'll be 28 weeks in a wheel chair and I'll see a 34 week pregnant woman standing in line. She'll probably throw me dirty looks all day long!

Man the last time I went to Disney I barely survived 3 hours. This was when I was single!

@chopsuey119: If I see a woman that looks further along than I am, I'll just rub my belly and say "Man, being 39 weeks pregnant is HARD!" haha. I just don't know what we'll do all day long with a 2 year old. It's not like he can go on all the rides and he might not even now what's going on. We'll probably end up leaving early. =\

At 2 he will definetly know what's going on. Our two year old twins love it. Them and their three year old brother play pretend disyland when we get home. They pretend they are on the rides and tell me what they want to do next time
When we are planning on a full day we just put them in the stroller in the afternoon and walk until they fall asleep. Then we sit in the shade and relax. If the actual park us crowded we walk around downtown Disney for a nap. Even after a nap my kids don't make it until the fireworks or anything. We usually have to leave a little after dinner time. If we try to push it for too long I usually end up hauling all four of my fit throwing children to the car.
