My extended family has always drawn names for giving gifts (obviously we get together every year at Christmas). It used to be a $40 limit. Well, fast forward many years, and we're all basically trading $40 gift cards. Pretty boring... The Matriarchs step up (they definitely run the family) and decide that instead of a $40 limit, we will have a $10 limit (because the families of 5 and 6 are spending a LOT of money), and you now have to MAKE your gift.

The first few years were pretty fun, all the kids were young enough and ideas were fresh. It's getting tough now. My family of 3 has my uncle, my aunt's new bf that no one's met yet, and an 18 year old boy cousin. I think we've figured out the two grown men, but what on earth can I make for an 18 year old boy?!

The most popular idea I can find is duct tape wallet, but that's been done to death in our group. He's very into his youth group, a Freshman at college (but living at home), and really into trendy brands.

Any ideas?
