Super easy DIY felt christmas tree project...perfect for toddlers!!!
Bought my materials today (<$15 with a 40% off one and 25% off all joanns coupons)...cut the tree out...next up is ornaments and presents!!!
Wanted to share bc I love that it's just cutting...and will be lots of fun for lo's!

I made this last year. She played with for maybe 15 mins total the whole month. Hopefully she likes it more this year.

Final product!!! Spent $15 (with some expensive glue) and ended up w enough materials for two trees!!

Made ours yesterday and the kids decorated and put up some ornaments today! We have 5 more ornaments to add to the tree tomorrow

I bought some sheer black ribbon and hot glue'd it on the tree. Then, I drew a light bulb on a piece of card stock, placed it over a piece of felt and cut around it x60 (was too lazy to trace that many light bulbs on the felt) 
my kids love the tree though, so it was worth it

Cute! I actually bought material this weekend to make one of these! Thinking about tying it in with our book advent "calendar"...maybe putting an ornamenet on each book, and he can put one up each night? I dunno yet.

These are so cute! DH's aunt brought me a bunch of green felt so I could make one for my LOs. I'm not particularly crafty, so not sure how it will go. I'm also pretty sure all the pieces will end up under the couch, but I like the idea of some non-removable items like your's @chopsuey: .

@chopsuey: the lights are amazing. Well done. I have been working on my tree for a couple hours and I still have lots to do. I can't imagine doing the lights too!! I'll post a pic when I'm done. May be a few more nights...

@chopsuey: how do you have yours hung on the wall? I used sticky tack stuff but it keeps falling down... Maybe I need to use a lot more sticky tack?

@delight: I bought the picture hanging ones. Last year mine fell all the time. The picture one seems to be working and I used the whole package!

@delight: directly on the felt. One side on the wall and one on the felt. They Velcro together. I figured next year I will just have to replace the ones that stick on the wall.
