I had a vacuum post a while ago, and finally settled on a Dyson V8 cordless. Just wondering though....does anyone know if they ever go on sale?! It seems like every coupon I can find a Dyson is excluded.

We got an amazing price on our dyson directly from their website last year around Black Friday/cyber Monday- I think in the end it was around 30% off but also came with 6 extra tools of our choosing.
They had all vacuums on sale and I was able to stack a coupon from an email they sent out.

We had a similar experience of finding the best deal directly through Dyson.

@catgirl: Ah! that seems like an amazing deal. I'm just not sure if I can hold out without a vacuum for 3 more months!!
@MamaG: will look!

@matador84: so I just pulled up my receipt and it was actually closer to 40% off in the end. I totally get not being able to wait that long though, I could not last even a couple of weeks when ours died. I would sign up for their email list though and see what they send as a welcome.

@MrsBucky: we saw some on overstock but DH said he doesn't want refurbished! They were so much cheaper.

My in-laws got us a Dyson Animal for Christmas and said it was on a great sale at Macy's around the holiday! Good luck, we love ours.

Got a great price on Amazon around Black Friday. Favorite Christmas gift ever (I have the cordless).

We have seen them on sale at Meijer for 15-20% off before. Not a huge discount but...

Black Friday I was able to use a 20% coupon at BBB. It was like a coupon that had no exclusions.

@starchild: @bhbee: @SweetiePie: I feel like Black Friday is "so close," but "so far." Thinking maybe a cheap vac until Black Friday and then maybe snag one? I can't go 3 months without vacuuming. We don't have a ton of carpet (living and bedrooms only) but I am a freak about clean carpet!

@matador84: So for me personally, I like having a full sized vacuum plus the dyson stick vac. We only have rugs (not carpet) in two rooms. So prob could even get rid of the full sized but the one in our LR is wool and sheds a ton and it almost feels like more than a stick vac can handle. I personally wouldn't feel comfortable having the stick vac as my only vac.
So anyway, long winded way of saying I think it's still good to have a full sized vac plus the stick vac. So I would get a less expensive full sized (we have the shark navigator and love it) and then in nov get the stick.

@matador84: I bought my Dysn years ago from Bed Bath and Beyond (online) on a 20% coupon that did not exclude Dyson. Read the fine print; they don't all exclude!
ETA: if it helps, I think it was in the "new home" pack from the post office.
