I recently saw a FB post from a guy who posted that he doesn't want to see another picture of the insides of someone's vagina or a stick that someone urinated on.
Those things don't bother me anymore!

Pee sticks totally gross me out. Ultrasounds...meh. I could take them or leave them.
pineapple / 12802 posts
neither gross me out, although I do, personally, find it a little strange when I see people frame ultrasound photos.
cantaloupe / 6800 posts
Pee sticks on here are great, pee sticks on facebook/instagram absolutely disgust me and I don't know why I like them here haha! U/S are fine but I am horrible at making out what they are so I usually just ignore those, too.
GOLD / wonderful coffee bean / 18478 posts
I've fine with them here but I don't like them on FB.
@MrsTiz: same!
I am also fine with them on IG because I am only friends with HB people on IG!
coconut / 8681 posts
I posted a picture of my pregnancy test on WB but I wouldn't post it on FB and I'm not a huge fan of seeing the sticks on FB. I think there are more tasteful ways to announce. I don't have any problem with U/S photos though. I feel about them the way that I feel about most things when it comes to FB- as long as you don't go overboard with posting one every day I don't mind.
pomelo / 5789 posts
They don't disgust or bother me, but I would never post them on social media. I think they're kind of personal.
Somewhere like here, they are more appropriate since this is a pregnancy/ttc/parents community.
persimmon / 1180 posts
I don't mind either as long as the part you pee on isn't in the picture. I have a picture of my stick on FB, but it just shows the "pregnant" part.
wonderful cherry / 21504 posts
I have never seen a pregnancy test posted on facebook-- I do think that's very strange, plus, most people don't announce a pregnancy on facebook until well past the pee stick phase. I don't care about seeing them on here, of course, this is the appropriate place for them.
Ultrasound pics don't bother me. I doubt I'd post my own, but whatever. You can't really see anything, usually-- you could post an ultrasound of your liver and people would assume you are pregnant, so it sounds like your friend is a little nutty with that one!
nectarine / 2063 posts
@MrsTiz: I agree, some stuff should just stay off Facebook, nursing photos are included in that category!
hostess / wonderful persimmon / 25556 posts
They don't gross me out but I could see how a guy might be annoyed by them. If so - just hide the person!!
grapefruit / 4120 posts
I don't mind either. It's not like you pee where the lines go. That would be a major pee stick fail! And u/s are amazing! That's spoken like a young single guy with a lot to go through in this future!
PS it's not the inside of someone vagina!
GOLD / papaya / 10206 posts
Neither bother me. @sloaneandpuffy: I know right? So not a vagina, somebody messed up in health class o_O
pineapple / 12526 posts
@Sugar.Biscuit: OMG, I think nursing photos are FAR worse than pee sticks or ultrasounds, IMO. I had a friend post one of her entire boob hanging out.
I never posted a pee stick picture, although mine is just of the lines and not the whole stick. I did post u/s photos though, so that my family in the states could see them. FB is how they see pictures and stuff from me.
Neither bother me.
grapefruit / 4120 posts
@prettylizy: at this rate he may not ever have kids because of anatomical confusion!

Neither one bothers me but I guess I could see how it would bother others!
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
Pee sticks on facebook are annoying. On hellobee they are almost expected.
coconut / 8279 posts
@sloaneandpuffy: seriously. dumbass.
I like ultrasound pictures because I love seeing profiles and little hands/feet. Sometimes the profile even looks like the parents.
Pregnancy tests are kinda gross. I wouldn't post pictures of any other kind of urine/blood test haha, so I wouldn't personally post that myself.
apricot / 391 posts
They don't really bother me. But posting them crack me up b.c they are all basically the same.
Plus I feel like I can't make heads or tails of the u/s pics... The tech would be like "Oh look! It's the head!" and I was like... hmmm, i guess I'll just take your word for it?
honeydew / 7589 posts
I don't mind pregnancy test (although I didn't post any myself) or ultrasound photos. I actually LIKE breastfeeding pictures (I think it normalizes it).
I think people are way too judgmental about all things pregnancy/baby related. If you don't like the photos, hide them.
cherry / 241 posts
Pregnancy Tests on FB are gross, IMO. They are fine here though!
I don't mind ultrasounds, though, in either.
nectarine / 2127 posts
Yeah.. I don't understand the peestick on Facebook thing. I took a picture of mine, but it was just for me, for weird posterity I guess? I'd never show it to Facebook though! I did post on WB but I think HB and WB are acceptable.
Ultrasounds definitely don't bother me on WB or HB but I do feel awkward when people don't black out their name and their doctor's name/practice name.
Im not a huge fan of ultrasounds on Facebook though. I wouldn't do it.. But I understand why people would want to.
cantaloupe / 6164 posts
neither bother me, and i don't understand why they would bother anyone else either. okay, if you post a pee-covered stick, that's kind of gross, but i've never seen one of those posted. there are 15-year-old girls posting pictures of themselves getting drunk in their bras and panties on facebook, but a picture of my baby on an ultrasound is bothersome? the ultrasound of my sweet baby girl's face is my cover photo on facebook and it is dang adorable!
pear / 1664 posts
I don't like to see pee sticks and I know my husband doesn't. He didnt even want to see *my* pee stick. ultrasounds I could take or leave. I like to see a friend's kid but I also recognize that many people have no clue what they're looking at, especially in an early U/S....so it just looks like a weird blobby black and white picture...
Still though, facebook and all that is full of stuff you may or may not want to see. Like if someone posts a picture of everything they eat. Or someone posts a picture of a gross injury they got. Etc. I've even heard people don't want to see a pic of an engagement ring if you get engaged. Preference I guess.
bananas / 9973 posts
I'm guilty of posting u/s pics on FB, but I only select 1 or 2 from each u/s if there's somewhat of a good shot (i.e. last two had one 3D face image and the other one was a full body somersault in utero). I'm definitely aware of trying not to over-post pregnancy pics on FB since some people seem to get annoyed, but all of our true friends and family seem to like the updates (especially the ones you don't see often).
Personally, I wouldn't post the pee part of the HPT stick, but I'm not grossed out by it when I've seen others do it.
pineapple / 12053 posts
pregnancy tests on here don't bother me, but i don't like them on social media stuff. ultrasounds don't bother me anywhere! i love them!
pomegranate / 3160 posts
I wouldn't say it bothers me or I'm grossed out by it, but I wouldn't post a pregnancy test on facebook (HB is a different story). I don't have an issue at all with ultrasounds. I also deleted pretty much everyone on facebook, so I only have about 100 super close family/friends--so I guess I really don't think too much about what I post there, as I figure most people will actually want to see it!
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
They don't bother me, but I think those are kind of personal to be blasting all over social media.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
They don't bother me, but I'd never post one to FB!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
Oh dear, I feel like I've committed some sort of faux pas! I posted both a pee-stick picture AND an ultrasound pic on Facebook (although I shared them only with close friends and family and only after 20 weeks). I thought it was okay at the time, but maybe I shouldn't have done it??
My pee-stick picture is really a picture of me holding the pee-stick, not a close-up of the pee-stick. Does that make it any better?
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21616 posts
I feel the need to correct something... an ultrasound is NOT the picture of the inside of a woman's vagina... it's the inside of a woman's uterus. Two totally different things! You don't go up the vagina to take an ultrasound (except in extreme circumstances).
If I see things I don't like on FB then I take that person off my newsfeed. If this guy was genuinely friends with people posting that stuff, you'd think he'd be more concerned with being happy for them than criticizing.
apricot / 286 posts
pee sticks on FB are just "meh" to me.. because they all look the same, faint line or what not.
on HB of course it's different story.
i don't have a strong opinion either way..to each their own.
but baby pictures, on the other hand, are a whole other ballgame. I have personally blocked folks on my FB because they wouldn't stop posting photos of their kids every, single, day.
nectarine / 2177 posts
The 3d ultrasounds have always freaked me out, even yesterday when it was our own baby! I don't mind ultrasound pictures, but i do mind pee sticks--not on a forum like this, but I think it is a bit funny when someone posts them on facebook.
hostess / wonderful watermelon / 39513 posts
@Mrs. Pen: yeah..lol. My friend's mom, sister and a lot of his friends corrected him and gave him crap about his post.
GOLD / wonderful grape / 20289 posts
I think it's fine to post those things. Personally I don't..... not because I think it's yucky but because I'm paranoid after having a miscarriage so it's hard for me to be excited about pregnancy and share with the world about my pregnancy. But it's not like there's a bucket of pee. You don't actually see the pee. You just see the stick.
blogger / pomelo / 5361 posts
I don't mind either, really, but choose not to post any u/s or pregnancy test photos on FB. On sites like HB, everyone is here for common interests and I think it's totally fine to post all of the above. I just don't want my babies on FB until they're here.
GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22276 posts
@Arden: I love to see bfing pics too! But sadly, their isn't too many that post them!
I don't mind seeing that kind of stuff!
pomegranate / 3809 posts
It doesn't bother me, but I don't care for it either. I'm not going to ooh and ahh over u/s pictures and a peed on stick isn't share worthy in my opinion. There's other (better) ways to share the news!
persimmon / 1491 posts
not at all, i think its people wanting to share their happiness with their friends and family...
