we're not at the point of having regular meals with LO yet, but my plan as a first-time mom is not to have toys at the dining table. we'll see how it actually plays out!

My husband isn't the best example, sometimes he does look at his phone and honestly, it's not a battle I want to have with him right now.
My son, on the other hand, does have his random stuff on the table, lately, it has been a collection of old gift cards, don't ask!

I let him play with toys while he sits in his chair and I make dinner. But when it is time to eat I take away the toys.
