We don't! I'm a bit of a germaphobe, so our greyhound is not allowed in our bed. She's never tried breaking that rule!
However, we are dogsitting our friend's greyhound, Ryan, and he IS allowed in his owner's bed. So this morning while I was getting ready for work and walked out of the bathroom, and I was looking for Ryan... and nearly missed him all snuggled up in our still unmade bed!! ACKKK, but it was funny... he's white so he totally blended in, even though he is a 80 lb greyhound!

we used to all the time, our 18 lb beagle terrier and 12 lb yorkie. then a few months back we started retraining to sleep in their beds at the foot of our bed in prep for LO
the past few days we've let them on just to get some extra snuggle time in before their lives are forever changed!

Yes. And on the couch. And anywhere else he wants to lay. I like cuddling and sometimes being the big spoon to my 50lb dog is the only way I can fall asleep.

Yes. Our dog is allowed to do anything/be anywhere she wants. Ahhh.. she is a tad spoiled! But she weighs 4.8 lbs so it's not a big deal! lol

Yup. Our 13 lb shih tzu sleeps with us every night. I feel like we are ignoring her too much after being at work all day if we make her sleep somewhere else.

Oh yeah, he's a spoiled boy. He's allowed everywhere in the house. He's 20 lbs but small. We love to cuddle with him in bed

No. My dog would make my bed too dirty. We don't allow her in our bed or on the furniture.

I should add, he's mainly an indoor dog because of allergies. If he were dirty/stinky I might not let him!

We used to and after we had our LO we said not anymore. which I really dont know why because our LO doesnt sleep on our bed. However I guess I felt like if LO cant then dog cant.. just wanted to be fair :-).

I used to, but not to sleep because he's too big. But he started fighting us when it was time to get off at bedtime so I had to stop.

He used to be allowed, but he would get mad if you moved the blankets under him and disturbed him, so he would usually go to his own bed anyway. DH has allergies, so when we moved in together, we enforced the no dog on the bed rule and it wasnt too hard. The bed stays a lot cleaner without the shedding.

We do, but she really only likes to be in bed with us when we get into bed and in the morning. In the middle of the night till early morning she sleeps in her own bed or on the couch! If we leave the door to our room open she will sleep in there during the day.
I wash my sheets weekly and the comforter monthly, and make the bed every day so it doesn't get hairy.

Ugh, yes. Our dog rules the roost in our house. When we first got her, she slept in her crate totally fine for about four months until one night, out of the blue, she decided she was just not having it and barked and whined until finally, at 1am, we caved. And from then on, it was game over.

@mediagirl: my husband is the same way!! The dog always knows to jump up on hubs' side because I'll kick him off but hubs will snuggle him!

Yes! Our lil furbaby rules the house! lol! She is only 4.5lbs though and I told DH that after baby comes, sleeping with us in bed will probably be the most attention and snuggle time she gets!

Yes, our Yorkies do, but not the Golden Retriever... she's too big plus she sheds way too much. We'd wake up covered in golden fur

absolutely. nothing is really off limits to him... he's so spoiled. he's only 8 pounds, so he doesn't take up much room. he sleeps between us with his body under the covers and his head on my pillow. i really think he thinks he's one of us.

She used to sleep with us but she likes to sleep between my legs so I had to kick her off the bed (when i was preggers with our first) but into her comfy crate. She automatically goes into her crate at night now.

@highwire @mrscastro: I'm with you! I'm the big sap in our house. DH always says "Cooper knows who the weak link is." I love cuddling and like highwire, I'm the big spoon when falling asleep. If Cooper doesn't want to sleep yet, I can't fall asleep without him.

No dogs now, but growing up our dogs always slept in the bed. Usually under the covers, snuggled right next to you, hehe. And one was super grumpy, and if dared to move her from where she was sleeping she would nip at you.

Ugh, I hate having our dog in bed. But DH lets him in there on his side. But I end up having to wash the duvet all the freaking time.

Yes. But she really likes to lay like, oh, right in the middle of DH's spot so when he comes to bed a few hours later, he ends up squeezing himself in between me and her and laying on top of the covers so that when I need to pull the cover over me, I can't. Ugh. I've tried retraining her to sleep on the bed but at the foot, but she's stubborn. We don't have the heart to make her sleep elsewhere. She's a shelter dog and has us wrapped around her... paws, I guess.

Nope. She is way too hyper, and would never let us sleep! Also, I am super weird about having clean sheets so I would literally have to wash my sheets every night! She is allowed on our leather couch though, which she loves.

yes, our 12 and 14 lb dogs sleep in bed with us. they're mostly indoor dogs, and paws and faces get cleaned after every walk.
