Bee wears glasses most of the time (she has contacts, but normally doesn't wear them). I had horrible vision growing up... but after college I got surgery and now I don't wear glasses.
Our poor kids will probably need coke bottles just to see the blackboard! Oh well... at least glasses look so much better than they did back in the day. Silver lining?
Do you and your SO both have glasses? Do you worry about your LO having bad vision and needing glasses?

My parents have perfect vision at almost 60 and 63!
I didn't have to start wearing glasses until I was in 9th grade. I totally regret not taking better care of my eyes 
DH's eyes are decent. Hopefully our LOs will have good vision!

My hubby and I are the same way @MrBee! We both have terrible terrible vision and I know our LOs will need glasses. I've had glasses since kindergarten, hubs since 7th grade.

I have super bad vision...I can't see the clock on the nightstand. DH has perfect vision. I hope LO takes after DH. I feel bad she may end up with my bad vision. I hope not though.

DH and I both have perfect vision -- better than 20-20. We're going to cry if our daughter needs glasses.

No doubt she will need glasses. There is not a person in our immediate family who doesn't need corrective lenses.

My husband only started wearing glasses recently. I've been wearing glasses since 5th grade. I hope they have my husband's vision.

She'll need glasses for sure but it's not a big deal. She'll get the surgery just like we did!

Huh, I didn't think about that until right now! We both wear glasses or contacts but my eye sight is pretty good (20/40) and neither of us needed then until puberty so hopefully they can wait until then so they can get contacts.

DH has the best eyes his doctor "has ever seen" (he likes to brag to me). My eyes, on the other hand are terrible. I wore contacts all my life - until last week when I got lasik eye surgery! Best decision ever. Now I see as good as my husband - (20/10). It's frankly amazing - I can't stop staring at everything.
So - our LO will either have great eyes, or terrible ones! I find glasses on kids adorable, but I know how much of a pain they are.

Hubs and I both have bad vision (although his is worse than mine) and we both wear glasses. So I'm just assuming our poor kids will also have to wear glasses. Oh well!

Yep! We both have bad vision, but his is much worse. Both of our fathers have coke-bottle glasses, and I think the only person in our immediate families who doesn't need glasses is one of my sisters. I feel so bad for our future nugget sometimes! Maybe our bad vision will cancel each other out...

Yep, we both have bad vision, DH has glaucoma in his left eye from a procedure they had to do when he was born... :T I have horrible, horrible vision. My entire family wears glasses too, and so does DH's family. LO is def likely to need glasses.

I'm blind as a bat (-11 and -10.5), while the hubby's vision isn't too bad. My family has a history with bad vision while the hubby's family does not. Hopefully, the kiddos will take after their father in this trait.

I am practically blind! I needed glasses starting in 3rd grade and could not ever think of going without my contacts. But DH has perfect vision. He can see better regularly than I can even with my contacts in!
I'm not really worried about it, though. I was fine with glasses and everything, aside from the expense and inconvenience, it's not really that bad.

We both have poor vision, with mine being a bit worse. Sad, I never thought about out future LO having poor vision, but I guess it's inevitable!

We've talked about this a lot-- our kids are screwed, vision wise. My vision was really bad until I got Lasik (too bad you can't pass THAT on) and his is pretty bad as well, but not as bad as I was. Everyone in our families wears glasses, so it's pretty much a given. Same with braces. I'm so surprised, and then jealous, when I hear about people who never needed glasses or braces.
At least neither of us are going gray or losing our hair yet-- my dad still has a full head of black hair at 61!

ugh, my husband and i have really terrible near sightedness, and so do most of our family members, so our kid will probably need glasses by the time they are 8 years old! poor things.

we both wear contacts. hubs has worse vision. our kids will probably have to wear them too... so sad!
