When you shop for holiday gifts for your nieces and nephews? My niece will be 9 months old so I will just buy her a toy and outfit...I will ask for suggestions when she gets older!

I don't have any nieces or nephews but one of my BFF's has a daughter the same age as DD that I always shop for and I always ask for suggestions and BFF always graciously obliges, which I'm so thankful for.

Sometimes. I have a lot of nieces and nephews, and we usually have a long email chain with suggestions from the parents for Christmas. I usually refer to that for birthdays.
For the nieces and nephews in town, we usually give them experiences (like a trip to the zoo, bowling, ice skating, etc) because we don't have kids yet and we are considered "cool" to hang out with. I always enjoy it too!

I generally just buy what I think my nieces will like. My sisters will usually have an Amazon wishlist of gifts, and I may buy one or two small items from it. Since DS1 is a few months to a year older, I have a general idea of what my nieces might be into.

Yes. I usually ask the mom what they need or what the LO is into these days.

Always!!! I know I hate getting stuff I don't want for myself, so I always ask my SIL what she wants us to get her children for Christmas/birthdays/etc!

I do, but only because the parents are so particular. I think it's more fun to shop and guess what they would like!
