I blocked one of my cousins. She is a teenager and was posting photos of herself and her friends doing thing (and wearing things) that made me upset.
Other than that I haven't blocked anyone.

Guilty! I mainly block people who post a million of those 'share this' pictures or 'if I get a million likes' posts.

Yep. I hide people that annoy me but it would be too much drama to delete completely.

I have many people blocked. These are people that constantly put political/religious stuff out there (like what happened in this case). Or people that I want to delete but "can't" because of the drama.

Sometimes I do check on their pages... to see what is going on.

I hide people ALL THE TIME....I figured I have close friends who know who I block so they fill me in on anything I missed!

I do but not family.

I tend to block people from my newsfeed rather than delete them if they are family or friends. If we haven't talked in a year, I don't feel bad about actually deleting them.

I would love to delete my SIL, but I don't want to cause any family drama, so I've just made it so I don't see her posts and she can't see my pictures or comment on anything anyone else posts on my wall.

Absolutely. I don't think I've blocked actual real life friends, but I've blocked many 'friends' from high school or whatever. People who post judgey political rants (seriously, i cannot believe what some people post and want people thinking about them!), people who post the 'share this' things all the time, too many inspirational quote pictures, people who only complain.... Do I sound terrible? I just hide their posts, so we are still "friends"-- otherwise I figure they would just re-friend request me!

But to be fair, I have missed updates from friends that I didn't block or anything-- sometimes you just aren't on for a few days, or FB has it's own way of ordering things on your newsfeed. I had people who I'm sure didn't block me who missed my preg announcement.

I don't block people, but I definitely hide people from my newsfeed.

One of my old friends recently posted a photo (I only heard about it because my friends like to tell me about her posts) of her sitting bare ass on a toilet... in a display room.... that's... super cool I guess. LOL.

ETA: I should clarify, I don't block friends. I have blocked a number of people who are not my friends and have no business knowing anything about my life.

Okay so I'm seriously considering hiding one of my best mommy friends. She posts at least 5 pictures of her kid a day and 2 videos. She's always "bragging" about the latest thing he can do which he really can't. Sorry but your 15 month old isn't counting to 10. He's just making sounds. Ughhh. End rant.

I hide a childhood friend's posts because he was always posting about weed and things like that.

I had a "good friend", we're not friends anymore, block me then I blocked her because I was posting about my pregnancy and she never asked about it, and when I did that, she ended up de-friending me.

I've blocked and/or deleted many people. I'm a three strike person. Three strikes and you're out. I've also deleted family... I have zero tolerance...

I really wish I could delete my MIL. everything i post she either comments on or takes the pictures (ie family pictures) I post and posts on her wall. And her passive-aggressive birthday message really cheesed me off. Thanks for announcing to all of my FB people that I hate to clean. Witch.

I don't completely block people but I do hide them from my news feed. Basically, if I don't really *love* someone and they post constantly, they get the boot. I also despise humble braggers.

The only person I ever completely blocked/deleted was a friend who became very cold and nasty to me when I was pregnant with my first. I felt like I didn't need to share any aspect of my life with her, and haven't looked back or regretted it.

Yes, I am alllll about having a highly edited news feed. I block people who post annoying pictures/shares, people who whine too much or just bug me in general some people aren't fully blocked, but I only receive their "important" updates. It makes Facebook much more enjoyable!

@sarbear: yes. Those drive me nuts. I have a distant cousins who shares a million photos quotes/memes a day and never anything about her actual life. But I can't exactly unfriend her

I have a few people hidden. If you're selling something (body wraps, Avon, etc), posting nothing but religious stuff or politics, or sharing 5000 stupid pics, I hide you.
