DH & I are huge on customer service. We have boycotted three restaurants no matter how good the food is. And there's no denying they are some of the best in their cuisine!
One was a pizza joint that had messed up our order and/or took ridiculously long on a order numerous times .ie they said 45 minutes but it took double that. The final straw was when DH went to pick up an order for a card game he had going with his dad and brother. They messed up his order. It was just cheese & pepperoni! Instead of giving him someone else's order they made him wait another 30 minutes for another pie. We had been loyal customers for about 6 years before we boycotted!
Second is a sushi joint that is 1 of 3 best sushi places locally. They have overcharged us a few times. Each time they refused to admit they were wrong and argued with us for like 20 minutes. Boycott. DH to this day still kids and ask if we can go back bc they have a specialty roll that is to die for that no one else makes.
Third is a Indian place that messed up an order of ours. We called and they were unwilling to give us a credit or refund or make up the item and deliver out to us. The only thing they would do is make us a new order if we brought that item back and picked it up ourselves. While everything else gets cold!
Nothing drives us away like bad customer service! In a town full of great food we can spend our money somewhere else that knows how to treat their customers right!
Have you ever boycott any restaurants?
ETA: oops I knew I started a similar one a while back!
