Only if it falls on a weekend day! Charlie's birthday is today (December 10th) but we celebrated it on Saturday (December 8th), just because we wanted to have the party on the weekend.
When he woke up this morning, I didn't say anything to him about his birthday... I figure, we already celebrated it!
Do you celebrate your LO's birthday on their actual birthday? If not, do you say anything to them on the date of their actual birthday (versus the day you celebrate it)?

We'll be celebrating his first birthday the day after his real birthday because it will be a Saturday.

DS's birthday is next Monday but we're celebrating Saturday. It's his first birthday, so he's not even going to notice or remember, haha
I think in the future we'll probably do a special dinner on his actual birthday and celebrate with friends and family on the closest weekend. That's what my parents always did when I was a kid.

LOs first birthday will be on a Friday, we will probably have a small family party either Saturday or Sunday. But since she won't be old enough to understand anyway, we'll tell her happy birthday on her actual birthday too

Her first birthday party was on her actual birthday. In the future we will always celebrate on the actual day, even if It's not party day. Well still do something special like a special breakfast, let her pick dinner, cupcake for dessert, etc.

Real birthday. Last year and the year it falls on a holiday. Perfect for a party. I think I would celebrate it twice if I had to do it on the weekend too.

We take DS out for lunch, his choice, on his actual birthday & will celebrate it with a party the following weekend. We've never celebrated it early.
Figure as P gets older we'll do the same thing.

Her first birthday falls on a Sunday but we might have the family over the day before since my sister comes from out of town. The rest, we'll take as they come.

We've only had one, but we spent the day doing things we thought LO would like to do, like going to a museum, park, etc. Then, we had a party for everyone else over one of the weekends.

We usually have a party on a weekend then in the actual day they get to pick what they want me to make for dinner. Right now they usually pick pizza or chicken nuggets but when they are older maybe it will get a little fancier.

Happy Birthday Charlie!!
We had his party on Saturday as well, and today's his actual birthday, so I feel like we have been celebrating for 4 days straight. I made cupcakes for his class and brought them in today, and he wore his "Birthday Boy" button to school today. (it covers half his chest.. haha.) He still hasn't opened many of his presents yet either. I think I will save some of them for Christmas!!

Bumping this!
Today is my LO's actual birthday (2!)... we are celebrating it this Sunday... I'm wondering if we should do something tonight... I'm feeling a bit lazy though.
