We don't know what day my dog was born, so we don't celebrate. I think it would be fun to make some doggy treats (and human treats) and invite my pup's neighborhood friends over for a party though! Is that weird?

We know our dog's bday because it was in the adoption papers. We don't celebrate it but we acknowledge it only because her bday is 4 days before my DH's.
Oh, and it's a pretty cool and unforgetable date. 08/07/06

@bluestriped bee: I wonder if my husband still has my pup's adoption papers somewhere. He got him when he was 4 months old, but he's a rescue so who knows. We don't know much about him, people are always asking us what kind of dog he is and we don't really know for sure everything that's in him. But we know he's a sweetheart

@artbee: haha thank you he's 2 now, so I'm hoping this kitten I'm-gonna-be-hyper-and-climb-up-the-blinds-at-night stage is over soon!!

My cat's registration papers from the local council had her birthdate on it - valentine's day! I always wish her happy birthday and make a fuss over her. Not always sure that she appreciates it!

Yes! Our pup turned 1 in December, and we bought him a birthday PUPcake from the local doggie bakery! He wore a little birthday hat which he ripped off about 1.5 seconds after we took a picture of him!

We celebrated our Basset Hound's 2nd birthday last year. I made a dog friendly cake and we had some dog friends over. It was kind of dorky but kind of fun too.

We'll usually get him a fancy bone and tell him happy birthday. But we've never had a doggie birthday party, and I don't expect we ever will : )

We celebrate with our pups, He also has an easy one to remember 08-08-08. We don't know the b-day of the pup we rescued in the Fall, but based on his teeth they estimated February-ish, and since he's named after a president we went with Washington's birthday. They get roast beef sandwiches (probably not the best idea), and lots of trips in the car etc.

Yup, we celebrate our cat’s birthday. We are not sure of her official birth day (though the shelter should know since she was born at one of their foster homes…), so we celebrate the day we got her at the shelter as her birthday.
We get her fresh fish for dinner (which she gets maybe once every few weeks usually), and get her a gift. Usually we get her a “big” gift like a new perch to sit on, or a new leash/harness or something like that. And lots of her favorite treats!
