Some dishes DH likes aren't really my favorites, but I don't actively dislike them. I cook them once in awhile, but not very often. I do all the cooking, though, so for the most part it has to be something I like if I'm going to cook it.

I don't eat red meat so I don't buy it or cook it. DH has it usually when we eat out, or sometimes on weekends if he grills something. There are a few things DH loves (sausage and peppers in the crockpot, for one) that I don't really like but make for him every once in a while.

I just made shepherd's pie for dinner this week, and it's not my fave, but DH put it on the list of meals for meal planning, so I'm going with it!

I have a couple of times. I REALLY hate salmon, but DH loves it so I found a way I can cook it and tolerate it.

I don't eat meat and I cook it every day for DH and LO. I hate cooked spinach but DH loves it so I make a few times a month.

I will occasionally cook dishes that DH really likes but I can only tolerate. I do not eat seafood and I have prepared fish for him and his parents on a few occasions and just cooked some chicken for myself.

I do, occasionally, but my husband and I both hate mushrooms and olives, so I don't make any dishes with those in them. But I will give those items to my daughter, who doesn't dislike them

The only thing I don't like is pretzels. I do buy those because I know it's a snack I can have in the house for DH and L that I won't be tempted to eat

Yeah, none of us eat what I don't cook so anything I don't like, they don't get!!
That includes eggplant and fake mashed potatoes. If my husband wants them, he can make them himself.

@cmomma17: Same here! I'm pretty useless at cooking meat because I've never really made it for myself, but I'll make an attempt for his sake every once in a while.

I HATE mushrooms. Like, touching them makes me gag. But, I make special spaghetti sauce for Dan with mushrooms. I even touch them. I must love him.

All the time! DH loves greens and grains... I'm learning to live with lettuce in our lunch and oatmeal for breakfast. At least I've managed to convince him that all things pickled are good too

We participate in a CSA, and so far this pregnancy, vegetables are the last thing I want to eat. So it's been a challenge...

LO loves fish sticks and yogurt. UGH..both are so hard to stomach.

I do most of the shopping and all of the cooking and I don't ever buy stuff I don't care for EXCEPT for food for the girls, like Annie's macaroni and raisins. But when it comes to making dinner, you better believe that I am gonna like what I am making.

D and DH love green peas and I hate them. But, I'll cook them once in a while. I'll also sautee some mushrooms for DH when we have steak, and I really hate them.

Chicken thighs, my husband likes dark meat. I also prepare chicken breast at the same time for myself.

I hate asparagus but I will occasionally make them for DH who likes them.

No. But DH is an extremely picky eater so most of the time if even I won't eat it, he wouldn't either.
grapefruit / 4712 posts
If I won't eat it. I will not make it. My husband is super picky, so if I cooked for him always we would eat Mac and Cheese and burgers all the time. Or cereal.
cantaloupe / 6692 posts
Yes because I'm extremely picky. I'm pretty sure I have SED. My child can't live on my foods alone. I won't condemn anyone to this life. Haha. Luckily DH loves to cook and eats just about anything.

I can't stand fish but DH loves it so I cook it every now and then. I try to find the least stinky fish so I'm not dry heaving the entire time I'm in the kitchen.

I make my husband tuna noodle casserole even though it grosses me out. He loves it.
pomelo / 5093 posts
Yes. I am an adult picky eater, and I don't eat most of what I cook. I didn't want my daughter to be restricted like I am, so I made an effort early on to cook whatever for her.
grapefruit / 4923 posts
no. i do refrain from making things that i know my husband doesn't like--mushrooms in particular. makes me sad.

@photojane: i hate mushrooms too! DH doesn't care either way, so i don't make it.
yeah, if i don't like it, i don't cook it. so no beans as a main dish (sometimes i'll heat up some for DH and DD), no mushrooms, olives, nothing super spicy.... the list is long.
