I've been seeing companies like Younique lashes and Stella and Dot (and clones) pop up everywhere and a few of my friends have started posting on FB about them. We also saw a bunch of people setup booths at a community event last week (the S&D one was busy!).
Are you a demonstrator/sales associate for any brands? Have you ever been recruited for one? Just curious!

@sunny: I've done direct sales as a brand rep - so I got paid 15-30$ an hour to demonstrate at Costco or a beauty store or a mall. It was fun! Easy money. I personally have never ever known anyone to clear a true profit with any of the companies like you're talking about.

@scg00387: I agree. It seems like a lot of work and the commissions don't sound that great. Yet tons of people continue to do it so maybe I am not seeing the value prop!

When we were overseas, every other wife you met sold some kind of thing (normally Scentsy).

@loveisstrange: I live in a military town and you are not exaggerating.. either Scentsy, Jamberry, It Works! Body Wraps, Shakeology, Beach Body, and now I'm seeing Grace & Adelie or something.. My entire FB feed is nothing but that crap.

I am a rep for Discovery Toys (educational toys). I joined for free and make decent pocket cash! And, the discount is awesome. Olivia loves it.
I'm actually going to join Ava Anderson soon I think, I buy a ton of their products anyway, might as well benefit from the discount.

A lady at my gym sells Advocare and she's always recruiting. I was recruited into real estate, but that's not quite the same.
