to any "monthly fee" donation programs?
DH and I've always wanted to do something animal related, probably ASCPA?

We tithe 10% of our income weekly to our local church & donate annually out of our tax return. We'd like to add St. Jude Hospital & Marriage Today Ministries to our monthly contributions.

We do donate to our local animal shelter monthly, but we donate in-kind instead of a monetary donation.
ETA: this is just the set monthly one. We also donate to other charities throughout the year, including Planned Parenthood and others.

We donate to a women's shelter (they actually served me, some years back!) that protects women in domestic violence/abuse situations (CVIC), the Harlem Children's Zone, the Nature Conservancy, and Heifer International. We prefer to control where our donations go, rather than just donating into a pot, like giving to our church. DH is atheist, but the girls and I attend the Lutheran Church. We also do donate there, just to help pay for what we use (i.e. the Pastor's time, electricity, heat, and whatnot). I think it is a great feeling to be able to further causes that you find important, and DH and I feel that it is something that we are obligated to do because we are fortunate enough to be able to.

Yes, my company matches contributions made through payroll deductions so we donate to The Malaria Foundation and also sponsor a child through Plan Canada.

DH "tithes" to St. Jude straight from his paycheck. I give to my alma mater annually.

Not currently but we would like to donate to an animal shelter/organization.

we don't donate monthly, but instead look at our annual budget and make sure to make donations to the various nonprofits that are important to us throughout the year.

We give to our church regularly and give sporadically to other areas when we can. We have given to mission trips, orphan care, and different local ministries. I guess we give regularly to united way but that's more because my work gives us an extra day off at Christmas if we give a certain amount.

Hmm...I'm the odd one out here... No, we currently do not donate any money.

@Mrs. Confetti: When we do our annual budget at the beginning of the year (or end of year, i guess) we allocate a certain amount for the year and make our choices then. It sucks for any charities who come soliciting later in the year because we've made our decisions already.

@Monkula: I *LOVE* Heifer! I used to live next door to Heifer's headquarters. A seriously awesome organization.
We tithe 10% to our church and donate money here and there for causes that come up during the year, like Heifer at Christmas, Operation Christmas Child, etc.

I was donating monthly to the aspca. On hiatus until hospital bills are paid

DH has a little come off his check for united way, and then we donate throughout the year. Basically $20 to anyone who comes to the door asking (I can't say no) and then sponsor anything our friends/family participate, and I usually donate to the charity requested when someone I know passes away. We also donated a large sum to the Diabetes Association when we got married instead of traditional favours.

I have money taken out of every paycheck. It goes to Shriners Hospitals for Children, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

No... but once we get our finances a little more organized and stable we really want to do the Compassion Child International and support a child. My family did that when I was little and I loved writing letters back and forth to the child we sponsored!

@Mrs. Pen: We want to honor the birth of our LO by donating to Compassion... You can select to be matched with a child who has a specific birthday! We will pick whatever day Baby Grizz is born on. We are looking forward to seeing our sponsored child grow up with our LO!

@grizz: aww!! I had no idea that was an option! How special! I want to do that

I donate a portion of every paycheck to a fallen officer memorial fund through work. They just take it straight out which is great because then I don't notice it/forget.

We tithe 10% of our income before taxes, and we donate monthly to World Vision.

@grizz: I used to donate to Compassion - I didn't know they match birthdays... how neat!

We normally donate to charities during events we go to (few times a year) but no regular monthly donations. I also donate my time (professionally) throughout the year - normally a few thousand dollars worth of service.

We donate 10% of income to church and I donate lots of used clothes to thrift stores and I crochet hats for the local hospitals and nursing homes. I also made a bunch of hats for my grandparents Peruvian foundation.
