Dentist mainly. With the eye doctor, I'm always terrified of having another retinal tear.

I only dread taking Xander to the doctor because he freaks the F out and I feel bad just having him weighed!

Went to the dentist last week for a cavity and was soooo nervous the whole morning before going! Went fine! Only had one cavity when they told me two at the cleaning a few weeks prior

I have had an IUD for 6-ish months now because I'm too scared to make an appointment and have it inserted. The first time was more than traumatic and I am terrified to try again.

Anything that involves getting my blood taken, I even just made a post about it. I pretty much hold my breath any time I go to the doctor because I'm waiting for him to tell me that I need to get a blood test.

@Smurfette: yes! I was just about to say I'd rather have quite a few paps than one dental visit.

Does the vet count? My dog gets so anxious there which stresses me out in turn.

@Smurfette: I'd much prefer a dr poke & prod my bits any day than go to the dentist!

I hate paps. I dread them soooo much. I used to hate anything dealing with needles, but after going through pregnancy and GD, I'm over my needle phobia now (which is good considering I have awful veins and they normally have to stick me multiple times).
I actually like the dentist! I don't particularly enjoy fillings because I hate being numb, but I'd go to a regular cleaning appointment any day!

I dread taking my DH in for Coumadin checkups. It's a blood thinner that he takes due to his immobility (he had a bad clot in his leg last year).
The standard vegetarian diet really affects how the medicine works. Ever since I became pregnant and stopped cooking the usual meals, his numbers have been way high. They keep lowering his dose but at his check up today his blood was too thin. We have to go back every 2 weeks until they get the right dose figured out.

@lilteacherbee: I'm just like you! Pregnancy cured me of any needle phobia and I find the dentist kind of relaxing!

Dentist!!! I would never go again if I didn't have to. I think it's a result of lots of dental work when I was younger (think braces, extractions, root canals). However I guess all that stuff worked b/c in the past 7 years I haven't had any work and no cavities... I still hate it though and after my last visit I cried to DH (yeah, it's that traumatic for me!!!) smh

I'm lucky that I've grown up with all of the same doctors that I have now, I fully trust them and they are great people, so I don't dread it. I don't love going to the dentist, but he's a great guy and a family friend. Luckily my GP does all of the annuals as well, so no need to get acquainted with a gyno just yet.

I can't afford insurance (even with Obamacare, it would still be about 50% of our yearly salary) so I dread having to go to the doctor because it means an astronomical bill. I have a problem that needs to be taken care of by a specialist, but I'm just having to power through the pain because there's no way we'd be able to pay for it.
