My laptop broke recently and I took it in for repairs. The guy started inspecting my case and said with obvious disgust, "You eat in front of your laptop don't you?"
I actually don't! But the kids may have a few times, which now that I think about it is pretty dumb on my part. According to my judging friend, a lot of repairs are caused by food and drink spills... especially by kids.
Do you eat in front of your computer?

My DH does. But it's not a laptop. With our setup the worst that could happen is we'd need a new keyboard. He also watched Netflix on my tablet in the bath, but he knows he's replacing it if he gets it wet. I would worry about him managing to electrocute himself, but he pretty much never, ever drops things. Basically the opposite of me.

I do with my work computer, which is embarassingly old. If my lunch crumbs make it go kaput early, I would do a happy dance. We have to have beverages in spillproof containers and computer accidents are probably the reason.

No but we eat with the TV on which is not a good habit either. Our dining area is right next to the living room in an open floor space. I need to be stricter about no TV during meals but it's so hard!

At work, yes. But it's a laptop closed on a docking station, so the only thing that could get ruined is my craptastic keyboard. Lol

yes, at work. my keyboard is totally disgusting. IT said that when people are done with a keyboard, they toss them because they are gross.

Yes, my keyboard at work is disgusting, I could use a new one! However, I can easily replace it, it wouldn't hurt the computer if I dropped water/ect. on it.

At work I do. I try to avoid the work lunch room (too much gossip) so the only other alternative is eating at my desk.
At home I don't really use my computer, just my iPad and iPhone.

I do, but I'm usually at a desktop PC or a laptop that is docked into a station... so my laptop isn't as exposed as much. 
Now my keyboard... that's another question...

I was drinking hot chocolate (yes, I'm a nerd) and had to cough and just spewed hot chocolate all over my keyboard. I had been reading this post earlier and thought to myself, "I eat and drink in front of my computer every day at work and no incidents yet!"

Lunch at work everyday... it is kinda gross but I'd rather work through lunch and get home to DH and DS earlier than have a clean keyboard.

I do at work, but not at home. I very rarely get on my home comp/laptop. I'm usually on my phone.
