SO isn't going anywhere but he is working 3 overnight shifts so he won't be around (or awake at the same time as us) for the next 3 days. I will try to cook but I'm sure I'll pick up a take out meal or two!

I usually just eat less fancy foods, like grilled cheese.

I'm an eating out machine; I'll use any excuse to buy food cooked by someone else! I do try to stretch it, though--Chinese, Chili's to go, pizza, things that I can eat for more than one meal. This justifies the expense, right?

DH works over night shifts often and we usually make easy meals like sandwiches, lean cuisines, mac and cheese when he's gone. Once in awhile I'll get take out, like Thai since he doesn't like Thai food and it's super cheap when DS and I share something.

Back when we had money (before buying our apartment) I used to order sushi every wed while DH was out.

I actually eat out less! I can't justify picking up a meal eve I can forage for one! Foraging for 2 is more of a pain

Not really, I usually make myself breakfast for dinner or other foods that he doesn't like. He's pretty picky, so I allow myself to cook more adventurous foods when I'm alone.

Not usually. I just make something easy and boring like mac and cheese.

Sometimes on weekends if he's away, but week nights I usually make something easy (like cereal or sandwich!) haha no dishes that way

DH works 2nd shift (3pm to 1am). I cook every night and then he takes that to work for dinner the next. If he only did it every once in awhile though, then I might order out.

I'm like jennylayneaz, I eat better when he's out of town. I cook foods he hates, like stir fry.

No, I don't eat out at all when DH is not home. I just eat something very simple.

I don't eat more, I just eat crappier. More take out, cereal for dinner, etc.

I don't eat very much when he's away. We eat out a lot when he's home though!
