@Andrea: that's the best - apple and peanut butter. I love eating it with a spoon.

Yummy! And yes. I always eat spoonfuls of peanut butter!

Definitely! My sisters and I grew up snacking on peanut butter spoons.
Lately, it's been spoonfuls of Nutella instead...

@sulli301: @Minnie_Girl: i would love to do it with nutella but i feel like peanut butter is healthier. true or false? tell me it is false and i will go get some nutella tomorrow
@mediagirl: how about with a banana? i like that, too!
persimmon / 1453 posts
@Andrea: Calorie-wise...true! But in terms of being good for your soul, Nutella is definitely better. So false!
GOLD / wonderful coffee bean / 18478 posts
@Minnie_Girl: ok, i'll just ignore that calorie-wise part! hehe.

Thinking about a fresh,, crisp apple with peanut butter totally made me drool! Definitely one of my favorite snacks. Sometimes when I am alone, I (repeatedly) spoon the peanut butter on my apple slices after I may or may not have licked the spoon. Just don't tell my DH!
GOLD / wonderful coffee bean / 18478 posts
@MsLipGloss: DH and I openly share the same jar of peanut butter so we do not care!

@Andrea: my DH's father *scarred* him with ice cream, so now all things like ice cream--peanut butter, in this case--are monitored for double-dipping offenses.
GOLD / wonderful coffee bean / 18478 posts
@MsLipGloss: we do it with ice cream, too. what is wrong with doing it?

gahhhhhhh I miss apples!!!
When I'm super hungry or low on energy and I'm in a rush to get out the door or something, I eat a spoonful of reduced fat Jif

@Andrea: Nothing - in my opinion! But DH doesn't like to eat after someone--I think it used to bother him that he would leave part of a DQ Blizzard in the freezer (for example), and his dad would eat part of it (without DH knowing). I don't know why it bothers him, really, I just took it as one of his *things,* like how he doesn't like dirty plates to be stacked on top of each other unless they have been (thoroughly) rinsed first.

@MsLipGloss: oh ok! i was bracing myself for something gross. haha!!

@NYCaliMama: get out!! That is genius! Do they sell that in the supermarket? I have seen PB and Co jars but I don't think they have the squeeze packs.
grapefruit / 4049 posts
@Andrea: I think my friend got them at BJ's. I forgot... I can ask. The squeeze pack was so enabling! she gave me some to have in my bag, but they didn't last long!

@NYCaliMama: what a great snack to keep in your bag. I haven't given the LO peanut butter yet but that would be good to have for her, too, assuming she is not allergic.

This is like the ONLY way that DH will eat peanut butter! I've never seen him eat it on crackers or toast or anything else. Just straight from the jar, lol.

I don't usually eat it plain with a spoon, but I put it on/with everything!

Definitely. Especially after a run - I pretend it's my dose of recovery protein. (c;

Not normally by the spoonful, but I love PB and put it on everything!
