I make a turkey (Martha's recipe!) and pineapple ham every year as the main course for T-Day and its a tough call which is the fave. I love both!

We have turkey. It's funny because I normally am not the biggest fan of turkey, but I crave turkey and cranberry on Thanksgiving!

I love turkey but in addition we do pork spare ribs, which my grandpa smokes and bbq's for days. So good! Can't wait for Thanksgiving

We have turkey. But I usually just take a small piece, I love the sides the most!

We're vegetarian, but I think Tofurky is disgusting so we either make a homemade turkey dish or I buy a Worthington Dinner Roast, which is really quite good.

It's always turkey! My husband also makes a pretty good smoked turkey that tastes just like ham.

We've always had turkey and I love it! At DH's grandparents they also have ham. My BIL doesn't really like turkey!
@tororojo: I've always wanted to try turducken too.

We always have turkey. It definitely wouldn't feel like Thanksgiving without it. So far I've even refused to celebrate Thanksgiving with my in-laws instead of my family because SIL is vegan and can't stand to see the actual turkey, so they don't serve it. Just thinking about vegan thanksgiving makes me depressed, lol.

@MrsCB: Wow. I'm vegetarian and was vegan for years, but I would never ask people not to eat meat around me. That's crazy.

@Arden: I think she doesn't like seeing the whole bird like you do with turkey. She's very sensitive and young for her age and apparently it'll make her cry :-S. But we've gone out to eat with her and as far as I know it's never upset her that much that I've eaten meat around her. *sigh* inlaws ;-).

with my side of the family we do a big traditional thanksgiving meal with turkey and carolina salted ham. i try to eat a little bit of everything.
when we do thanksgiving with the hubs' family the next day, we usually do italian or something similar to mix it up.

@MrsCB: Couldn't they just carve it up before they brought it to the table? I mean, skipping it altogether seems a bit much.

We make turkey, but it's my least favorite of everything we make. I end up having a tiny bit. It's my token turkey

Oooo prime rib. That would be amazing. We always have turkey, though. I hate ham.

Turkey or ham. I don't eat much meat though. I make scalloped corn (it's really just like a fancy cornbread) and I usually fill up on that, rolls, mashed potatoes, and cheeseball. Mmmm yum!
