I love brown rice but I just can't get onboard with whole wheat pasta....so we just eat less of the regular variety!

We used to but then I had to cut gluten & we moved to a rice/corn combo pasta... it's more like the texture of regular pasta so that's what we've stuck with.

Yes, it's all we buy! I love it so much more.
If my nana knew shed have a heart attack!

To me it really doesn't taste much different. I almost always eat whole wheat instead of regular.

Yep! I love it! DH doesn't like it as much, but I don't taste much of a difference.
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21628 posts
Yep. It's the only kind I buy. I can't tell a difference.

That's all we eat except for lasagna noodles and shells. Once sauce is on I don't notice any difference!

There's a homemade sauce we make that's filled with garlic and basil, and I SWEAR it tastes best with whole wheat linguine. No other type of noodle will do!

I can't eat it.. I can definitely taste the difference and it just changes the flavor of most of my pasta dishes.

We eat both. DH is not the biggest fan of whole wheat pasta but I can trick him with sauce. I prefer my lasagna and macaroni and cheese with regular.

Yep. I like it. DH just bought quinoa pasta last night but we haven't tried it yet.

It is all we eat. Brown rice is a no-no though, I will never get down with that.

I'm paleo, so I make my pasta out of zucchini or sweet potatoes!

On the rare occasion we eat pasta, we eat brown rice pasta-not as bizarre a texture as whole wheat.
cantaloupe / 6171 posts
we do, BUT we much prefer Barilla Plus pasta--it's not whole wheat but it's fortified to have protein in it, like comparable amounts to chicken and egg, and as a vegetarian I'm always needing more protein. I love it, it tastes like normal pasta.
persimmon / 1273 posts
Always! I used to hate it because it seemed rubbery and gross, but I think it's gotten MUCH better in recent years and now it's all I buy.

I like brown rice pasta (Tinkyada) which is MUUUCH better than whole wheat pasta. I love my multi-grain, sprouted, whole wheat stuff but i refuse to eat whole wheat pasta and baguettes.
nectarine / 2274 posts
No but we eat brown rice pasta and I think it's delicious. Lo is allergic to wheat.

I have before, and I like it. Certain kinds are definitely better than others--some have an almost gritty texture.
wonderful pea / 17279 posts
Yes, but not as much as I would like too. The texture is very different and DH doesn't like it. Boiling two pastas is just not going to happen.
grapefruit / 4800 posts
Nope. I don't have a problem with semolina flour so I don't really see the need to go whole wheat, plus I think semolina tastes better as a pasta.
hostess / wonderful persimmon / 25556 posts
No. I have tried a lot of brands and don't like any of them.
clementine / 818 posts
We eat all the variations of pasta (brown rice, whole weat, and quinoa), I can taste the difference but I have gotten used to it and really don't mind the taste anymore. With sauce its much much harder to tell a difference.
