I do! It drives me nuts. It's gone down a lot lately. Probably because nothing has sold nearby and houses are just sitting on the market all over my town.

I have used it on our old home....now though, I'm stalking it every minute of every day as we try and find a home to buy.

My husband is semi-obsessed. It is pretty fun to see right now though because our neighborhood is doing well so it usually goes up. We just got our tax assessment for the year though and they agree with zillow that property values are increasing so our taxes went up.

Sometimes, although I take the estimates with a grain of salt because they're not entirely accurate.

@spaniellove: true. My parents house on zillow is about 120k less than the assessments of multiple real estate agents. That's a really big gap.

No, I don't think zillow is very accurate.

No! It wasn't accurate at when we were house shopping. It showed houses for sale that didn't exist.

We've been using a lot while house hunting. We close on our place in a few weeks and then I'm sure DH will stay curious about it!

@HLK208: I think it can be off for outliers in a neighborhood. Our house tends to have one of the highest values in the area and Zillow is pretty far off because it wants to stay close to what other houses in the neighborhood go for. Same with another house that sold at the same time as ours and sold again this year...really far off.
