I hate missing bed time. I've only had to do it a couple of times, usually when DH is with her, and only once when we had a wedding and my mom put her to bed. I'm missing it tonight for a play, and I regret it. I'd rather be home with LO

Awwww....so sweet! I know you'll miss your daughter. But try to enjoy the play! It's good to get mommy time once in a while! You deserve it!

@Andrea: @banana: Thanks! I think I'm just in a funk today, read my "me time" post and you'll understand. I'm not looking forward to dealing with people, and would rather have a night in with the LO. Oh well, already bought the tickets

I was gone one evening a week from 6 months to 2 years to help with our church youth group. It was a good chance for daddy to do bedtime (and now that I have the baby as well, it's good that she's happy with either one of us).
It's good to get out sometimes!

I've only missed it twice, once when I got home late from a training session and then again when I was in the hospital having DS. It's ok to miss it once in a while, but I totally feel bad about it, too. Ugh, mommy guilt!

I used to miss it all the time. Since Bee had Olive though, it's very rare that I miss bedtime!

When we have family visiting I'll push bedtime back a bit

I miss it off and on. When I miss it I tend to sneak into her room when I get home just to look at her and blow a kiss her way; sometimes I'll rub her back lightly (but not enough to wake her).

I miss bedtime all the time. It's pretty standard for DH and I to split up baby duties into either "I'll get up with the baby and do all the morning stuff and drop him off at daycare, but that means I won't get home till later" or "I'll get up early and head to work before, or shortly after, LO wakes up, and then I'll pick up LO and do all the evening stuff." When I was still nursing LO at night I tried not to miss bedtime more than once a week or so, but I probably averaged 1-2 times week missing it. Now I probably work late one night and I'm on my work kickball team and miss another bedtime for my game, and then occasionally I'll miss a third night a week for some other reason.

I never miss it but hubs misses it every week night. He hates coming home when LO is already in bed.
