I mean...every baby has GOT to go to sleep at some point, right?
LO is fed,changed,swaddled & swinging in his swing with the lights dimmed. Yet, he stares at me with wide eyes and a huge grin on his face So, I have up! I'm up now...with a snack and in watching movies on my laptop with my headphones in. Why try to force something happen that clearly is not going to happen anytime soon?
Watch: the minute my movie gets good, he'll finally drift off:/

Lol! A is exactly the same this week and if she will sleep it's only on me. DH is in a tizzy trying to work out what we could have done that's changed her sleep so much in the last few days but to me that's what babies do, right? Anyway, late night movie watching too!

We have had the same thing recently. I know she's tired....she's yawning and rubbing her eyes, but every time I put her down she just stares at me with big eyes and a huge smile as if to say, "I know you aren't going to leave me here!" Thankfully, last night was much better!

Yep! Once recently, my baby went to bed early and then just woke up at midnight. Like, wide awake. So we turned on a movie and all just hung out. She happily went back to sleep at 3 and slept late. Honestly it was kind of fun for a one time thing.

when ours are wide awake at night, we just bring them out to the living room. we doze on the couch and put baby in their bouncer. no toys, lights off. usually they are content to just look around and mess with their hands, and will fuss when they're ready to go back to sleep (typically 60-90 min),

@TurtleDoves: I totally used to do this in the morning. C would wake up at like 3-4am and then want to be up for hours. I'd throw her in the swing and turn it on and go back to sleep on the couch. She'd just hang out and babble quietly to herself. By the time I woke up, she was always sleeping peacefully.
I hope it gets better for us both!
