We have a small sandbox of our own in our backyard and we left the lid off for just one day... and tons of cats peed and pooped in it. So gross!
Now I've sworn off playing with the kids in public sandboxes... not that I've seen one in years. But if I do see one, I will definitely avoid it!

I haven't played in a sandbox since I was 5 years old! Will definitely be staying away from public sandboxes.

Oh no! That stinks! No, we do not go into public ones. I don't think there are that many around us .... probably because everyone thinks that they are gross anyway.

We have one in our apartment complex and it is for sure the cat litter box, so my LO doesn't go in there. If he wants to play with sand, we go to our IL's, they have a covered sandbox.
