@Bookish: Awww thanks lovely.
It helps that I have my desk back which means a place for my laptop. Now while the kids play I can actually paint/write/create/etc.

I would like to, but I definitely don't have time to come up with 2-3 posts/week. I doubt I could do 2-3 per month!

@NaturallyCathy: DO IT!!! I have totally followed your big bed conversion advice- it has been flawless (knock on wood, of course!)
I've thought about it in the past, started applications, started blogs, but just can't make myself add one more thing to the plate. I'm very happy hanging out on boards and IG as it is!
I can't even get my regular responsibilities done in a timely manner- and if I didn't have deadlines I wouldn't finish anything. My writing style is more technical for work, so I would have to adjust and change some to make it readable.
I would definitely be an animal, since I'm such a fan of fur people

@NaturallyCathy: no new generation in the works just yet! Maybe in a bit...

@NaturallyCathy: You should totally do it! Diversity is the spice of life!
As for me...yes and no. I think it'd be fun, but I'm a) way too long-winded and b) don't think I'd bring anything new to the table. Plus, as it is, by the time I get home, get E fed, bathed and to bed, and the house cleaned up I'm too pooped to think too much
If I did, though, I think I'd want to be Mrs. Otter or Mrs. Bicycle.
hostess / watermelon / 14932 posts
@lovehoneybee: mr otter would be interesting!
(just teasing!!)

Sure do! I *may* have even applied a few months back.
For now, I love reading everyone's different posts! The cake icon was my face, but I think it's been taken!
admin / wonderful grape / 20724 posts
@NaturallyCathy: you should apply! We're not looking for a particular demographic... all good bloggers are welcome!!
blogger / eggplant / 11551 posts
@NaturallyCathy: Yes, please blog! We need a variety of bloggers, and I bet a lot of people would be able to relate to what you have to share. I already love keeping up with your kiddos on IG, I can only imagine how they spice up your life on a day to day basis!

I've thought about it on several occasions but I'm kind of concerned about security with pictures of the boys out there. Is that crazy?
blogger / coconut / 8306 posts
@loveisstrange: what?! You're not completely smitten with my posts?
Well!
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21616 posts
@Baby Boy Mom: definitely not crazy! I have some of the same concerns - more so when I think about J's future personal life... I wonder how or if it will affect him?
@NaturallyCathy: What I LOVE about the bloggers is none of us are the same - we all come from all over the US, varying education, family life, personal style, quirks, etc - I love that there is diversity and I think it's great when people don't fit the "mold". Some of my favorite posts have been the hard, honest ones - because I feel it sets this site apart from other popular bloggers who tend to give off the perfect life image.
pomelo / 5607 posts
@loveisstrange: I don't either! Mostly because I do all my blog reading on my phone, and I have java turned off on it because it slows things down, and for some reason pictures don't show up on HB without java. And a lot of the posts tend to be picture heavy. Also, they just update so often I can't keep up!
I've looked into applying, but the picture requirements are way out of my league. I also just don't update often enough, and am not willing to commit to it. That being said, our situation is unique enough that I may at least do a guest post once we know more about what's going to happen.
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21616 posts
@Torchwood: I love guest posts. I definitely would love to read yours if you put something together.
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21616 posts
@Torchwood: You've definitely been in my heart recently Hope all is going well with you and baby!

@Mrs. Pen: Thanks! Next ultrasound is the 21st, and that should give us a better idea what's going to happen. Fingers crossed it's the same or improved, or at least only a little worse! Need to keep growth to no more than around a millimeter a week to make it to 34 weeks with at least a reasonable chance.

@Mrs. Pen: glad I'm not the only paranoid one. I have seen more posts recently that have minimal to no pictures so maybe the door is somewhat more open to that type of blogging...
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21616 posts
@Baby Boy Mom: And of course not even just pictures, but content as well. I want to be respectful of what I share, even if he is a toddler. I don't want to embarrass him. I think many bloggers like to use the pictures to break up wordy posts, but it's definitely not necessary
pomegranate / 3105 posts
@mrbee: I'm surprised on HB you didn't choose to use Mama ____ or Papa _____
admin / wonderful grape / 20724 posts
@babycanuck: My name predates Hellobee... I was Mr. Bee on our last site too, pre-kids!
pomegranate / 3105 posts
@mrbee: I know! I was on WB! I'm just surprised you guys didn't do like... Mama Twine or Mama Confetti instead of the Mrs. or Ms. etc
honeydew / 7687 posts
@Baby Boy Mom: you're definitely not the only paranoid one! Sometimes I feel guilty for sharing pictures of LO even under private accounts... I know of 3 people recently who found pictures/videos of their kids on foreign sites. It's hard sometimes, because I blog about kids clothes... and they're obviously cuter with a smiley kid IN them but I'm just not comfortable with it.
admin / wonderful grape / 20724 posts
@babycanuck: We considered it! But it just seemed tricky with TTC and losses, so we decided to use just Mr. and Mrs. for ourselves. It's up to each blogger what they call themselves and their SO...
pomegranate / 3983 posts
@Mrs. Pen: yes definitely! Wouldn't want a future girlfriend to be like "man, you were hard to potty train"..haha
pomegranate / 3983 posts
@scg00387: wow that is super freaky! I feel ok with some pics on a private blog but the audience on HB is obviously much, much larger.
honeydew / 7687 posts
@Baby Boy Mom: (i sew kids clothes) someone just found m y blog using key words "little boy bottom with pance" (pants?) I hope it's innocuous but.. icky.
grapefruit / 4862 posts
I thought about applying when I was in my third tri but I've had a hard time keeping up with my personal blog, so I don't know if I'd have the time to commit to it. Still want to submit a guest blog on a subject that's important to me but have to find the right way to put pen to paper... such a complicated subject. I don't know how our amazing bloggers are able to write so eloquently and (seemingly) effortlessly!
GOLD / grapefruit / 4555 posts
@kjpugs: I stopped keeping up with my personal blog around the holidays when it seemed endless - the family obligations, the kids hitting new milestones at frightening speeds, so forth. I think that's what makes me a little nervous about applying to blog. I mean some of these posts are at least 6 months old if not older! What if they want something more recent? Should I include past blogs and write a few new blogs? Or should I get my personal blog up to date and apply in a month or two?
Fun fact: I actually started my personal blog because I wanted to be a HB blogger but hubs didn't want to share pictures of our kids on the internet (which is ultimately why we got rid of FB). It's been a year and he said last night when I asked if I could apply as a blogger for the fourth time that if we were going to share pictures of our kids anywhere, it would be on HB. Shows how much his opinion of HB has changed in a year! He sees how its really helped me and he supports my HB obsession
grapefruit / 4862 posts
@Torchwood: that was a big thing for me too. The picture requirements were super intimidating to me!
blogger / clementine / 750 posts
@NaturallyCathy: I'm personally going through my archives and catching up. I loved being pregnant, so I'm sharing posts from back then. I just hope I'm not boring peopleāI'm excited to get to current day soon!
@kjpugs: Submit your post! I wanna read it now
GOLD / grapefruit / 4555 posts
@Mrs. Rabbit: I like a lot of my older posts but I was just afraid it might hinder my chances. I know it's silly, it isn't a competition - I'll either be picked to be a blogger or I won't be but HB is so special to me. I really want to give back to the community that touches my life in so many wonderful ways
admin / wonderful grape / 20724 posts
@NaturallyCathy: Just pick your favorite posts and apply! if there's a fit, we'll let you know... if not, maybe there are some posts that would make for a good guest blog?
pomegranate / 3045 posts
I thought about it, since I blogged for WB. But my husband and I have decided that we are going to try to keep pictures of our LOs off social media/the online world as much as possible. Plus, these days, I am just enjoying time with my husband and pup, and not feeling the pressure of having to blog. So nope I'm happy sticking to the boards and just reading the blogs

@theotherstark: Didn't realize that! Do you share your old identity here?
I'm happy being a hostess, I prefer to remain private so blogging wouldn't work for me. But, I wouldn't mind a cute avatar!
