Do you make sure your LO eats a new food for three solid days before introducing a new one? We've not been very diligent with it... we usually just go for 3 meals instead.

Thats the only rule that we have actually stuck too. We did break the veggies before fruit rule so that she wasn't eating veggies for breakfast.

We haven't ever followed it very well. He usually just gets some of whatever we are eating, and we don't eat the same stuff several days in a row.

I do and if she likes it I even go to 4 days. But we have a history of serious allergies on both sides so I want to be extra careful.

not at all....i know we probably should have, but there are no allergies on either side so i figure we're ok *fingers crossed* and he hasn't had any adverse reactions to anything

So far, we've had at least 3 days before starting a new food. But she's still eating the old standbys (not like it's only carrots for 3 days). We haven't had any reactions yet, so I might go to 2 new foods at a time, because then you'll still have an idea what's causing any issues.

Never followed it. A few things gave mine diaper rash at first, and then didn't when I reintroduced them later. One thing (cherries), she was honestly allergic to and got hives where her poop would touch her skin. But for all of those, it was pretty easy to figure out the new thing and just exclude it for a while. I don't really buy into the hype about normal (non peanut/shellfish) foods being a huge risk for life threatening allergies in a family with no history.

Yes, we followed a 7 day rule actually because weekends was when I prepared all of his solids and froze them. We have a lot of allergies in our familes so we were super diligent with this.

I thought I would.... but we didn't. My doctor said we didn't have to so I didn't feel like we really needed to stick with it.

I was super diligent in the beginning, but have gotten more lax as time went on. I still only introduce foods one at a time but I'll only wait like a day or two.

No, not really. Plus, all of the good purees seem to have multiple ingredients in them. Today we gave DD barley, plums, and berries -- all new foods for her. She almost finished the entire packet, so that means tomorrow we'll have to open a new babyfood packet that probably contains different ingredients that she hasn't tried before.
