All I can say is thank god for timehop reminding me of most things. 
I cannot for the life of me remember some of the milestones. I can remember around the time for big ones but things like potty training? Maybe it's because it took so long to be DONE.

I can only remember them in relation to other events - so like, we moved DS1 to his crib a couple weeks before he started daycare, he started walking right after our beach vacation, etc. I never have any idea how to respond when someone asks how old he was when he did such-and-such, because I really don't know.

Absolutely! I was so bad keeping track so I only remember approx months when things happen, rarely the exact date!
