You would think after multiple annual appointments and now late into my second pregnancy it would get easier... I get soo nervous!

What are you nervous about?
I'm never excited to have an annual exam done, but it takes a few minutes and then it's over with. I'm not nervous, just not completely thrilled with the exam.

I don't' get too nervous, but I did last week at my annual when it was a different doctor. Mine got into a car accident on the way into work so another one did it, and that threw me for a curveball!

Not nervous so much as anxious. I don't particularly enjoy the exam, so I dread it like going to the dentist.

@Mrs. Jump Rope: I think its just the fact that someone is down in your business... I know they see it all the time but ....ugh! However I am a really nervous/shy person anyway so that doesn't help!

I don't get nervous but I just get weirded out thinking about where her head is (during my annual) so I just talk a lot. Weird is that labor I didn't feel weird at all about her being all up in my space.

I get anxious...but I'm a high strung person to begin with. I just get anxious over the exam...which I know is going to suck. Cause it always sucks lol

I don't particularly look forward to the exam process, but I have had enough poking and prodding and examining in that area by this point that I no longer get anxious. I get WAY more nervous about going to the dentist!

@mrsrain: right there with you! I'd choose a lady bit exam over the dentist any day!

I totally do, especially last time, my new doctor started having a conversation with me while my legs were still wide open! It was pretty awkward. I just try to tell myself, they do this ten times a day.

Nope - I love her so much! she is actually a GP (family practice), but does GYN type stuff and even prenatal and L&D. AND she is my son's doctor - we totally lucked out with her. I actually enjoy going to see her.

I used to get nervous...but after having a dozen or so appointments since the beginning of the year (and during one of them I had four different people up in my business! nurse, sonographer, doctor, and medical student) it's sort of become routine to me now.

No. I'm never nervous to go to the doctor unless I have some reason (like I am having a serious problem and I am worried what the cause is or I'm about to be diagnosed or something).

I get a little wave of anxiety before any drs appointment. I think it's because I don't really feel in control of the situation.
