It would depend on the circumstances... I'm more protective of my LO's nap schedule now that she's a toddler. She was way more easygoing as an infant and was able to sleep pretty well anywhere. Now, she can't nap unless she's in her crib and if she misses a nap, all hell breaks loose :T

Yes and my whole family thinks I'm crazy and gives me such a hard time about it!! My sister never had set nap schedules with her kids and went about life as she pleased which worked semi okay for her, but that's not how we roll so get off my back about it!!

We have general naptimes and a predictable bedtime, but our family is pretty flexible. I make a point to schedule dates or events around my daughter's sleeping preferences, but she's a gem and generally just adapts. Everyone knows I'm not a huge fan of random knocks at the door - I have a "please, call first" policy, so I haven't had the opportunity to get really upset. Why, what happened?

@swedishfish: my aunt showed up today while DH was about to go down for his afternoon nap even though my mom told her he was about to go to sleep so he didn't go down until 5:15. He should've just stayed awake at this poor but my mom put him down. I would've let him sleep but he was just in a short sleeve onesie so we woke him at 6:00 and changed him. He seemed tired so we put him right back down but he won't go to sleep and he's so tired and I'm just pissed.
