My LO woke up about 5 minutes ago. I can hear her chatting to herself and her stuffed animals. I feel like I should go get her but I really wanna finish my coffee so I'm hoping she will keep her entertained for 5 more minutes 
Do you get your LO immediately when they wake up or do you wait a bit? If she's happy / content, I'll usually wait a bit.

No. If she's happy and babbling to her lovies, I'll let her hang out. I think it's good for babies to be comfortable by themselves sometimes, provided they're content doing so.

I usually wait until she starts getting fractious - which is usually when she gets herself wedged into some crazy position!!

LO is right next to me in her crib so she usually lets me know she is awake! I love when I wake up to her happy

Almost never. For the most part, he seems to prefer having time to wake up before getting out of the crib. I like to lay in bed for a while myself, so I know how he feels.

Heck no. If she's having fun or just daydreaming I let her chill. Sometimes I don't even know what time she woke up in the morning because when I wake up I see her playing in her crib on the monitor.

In the morning I always let LO play and "chat" with her animals before getting her. I usually need the extra time to get ready, etc. She can entertain herself for usually 15-20 minutes in the am. For naps, she usually wants out right away.

No - I let her play and talk with her animals and then get her when she starts screaming for me. Sometimes it's zero minutes, sometimes it's 30!

Nope. I let him hang out and babble in there. I think it's good for him to play happily by himself. Plus, if it's super early and I don't want to get up yet, sometimes he'll fall back asleep. Score!

We wait until she starts to sound fussy. How long that takes usually depends on how hungry she is -- usually she babbles for a few minutes but sometimes she wakes up roaring and wants BOOBS STAT!!!

Nope - we usually wait at least ten minutes, or until she gets really cranky. Sometimes, I crack her door open and spy on her playing in the crib while she's waiting for us.

If she's upset, yes, but I take my time if she's ok. But then again, I'm always excited to see them in the mornings, so I go in pretty quickly.

T can't entertain himself much yet but I give him a few minutes after I see he's awake just to chill and not get used to needing me to get him as soon as he wakes. I'll add more time as he gets older but he's just 9 weeks right now.

My *wonderful* DD wakes up about 6:45, and then spend about 20 minutes tossing and turning, finding her Wubanub and rubbing her eyes. Then she spends about 10-15 more minutes playing in her crib, taking to herself and singing. When she is ready to get up, she stands up, looks at the monitor camera, and says, "up, up, UP!!" It's a good system. Gives me plenty of time to shower, drink my coffee, get myself mostly ready. 
And she is *just* like her daddy - takes forever and a day to wake up.

My LO always wakes up crying. Even now at 9 months. And then she escalates. So...yup!

If I am already and awake and doing something and he is happy, then I wait. If I am asleep still and I hear him I usually just get up, go to the bathroom and then get him.
He has been turning his light on (the switch is above his crib and he just realized he can reach it when he stands) and talking in the mornings lately. This morning I was asleep and saw he was up. Who knows how long he was doing that for before I woke up haha.

if he's crying right away - yes. But if he chats for awhile, I leave him be. Today he woke up yelling, "Daddy! Where are you?!" it was funny.

Nope. It weirded me out when she started waking up happy & taking - I posed a thread about it! Everyone reassured me though. Now if she wakes up happy I let her play in her crib for up to 20 minutes!
