When referring to your LO's age do you go by weeks or months? I go by months now. Example- DS is 20 weeks old and his birthday is the 17th of the month (he will be 5 months).
Also, do you round up? Even though 20 weeks sounds like 5 months (remember pregnancy week/month confusion?) I say he's 4.5 months old.
What do you do?

I go by months now. So much easier to say 9 months instead of almost 40 weeks!

I think I generally started to tell people "months" after 12 weeks, so at 3 months. I'd just use terms like, "__ 1/2 months", "she just turned __ months" and "she's almost __ months" to be more specific.

Since about 3 months I've been going by months or 'and a half' or 'almost __ months'.
But I do keep track of the weeks just because I take a weekly photo of LO (and have a week by week photo album on facebook), but I never report his age this way in real life.

Same as everyone else. I did weeks up to three months, and now we're at months. I honestly don't even know how many weeks old she is at this point.

Yes after 3 months we switched to months. I do know some people that still go by weeks but is just confusing because then you gotta sit there and roughly calculate how many months it is.

I think i counted in weeks until Lo was 12 weeks old? Then started counting in months

We started going by months when I could never remember the exact week (is this bad?) haha I always have to break out the calendar to remember weeks.
I usually round up to the half-month.

@winniebee: yeah, I think at 12 weeks, I still said 12 weeks and then didn't say 3 months til exactly 3 calendar months. I just think it's funny that I get this one email from some baby company and recently they said, "you're baby is 65 weeks old"... Haha, um thanks... I didn't even know that!

I go by months now(all 5 of them lol) unless someone asks how many weeks, and the. I usually have to think about it
