E and I just went out grocery shopping and DH stayed home with A. I told him he should start letting me take just E (she's still easy to take out and about), or letting me go alone because it is SO much easier without a toddler. We usually go shopping as a family or I take the girls, but it's a much easier process with no one....I can't believe I've been attempting to do this for so long, time for a change!
Do you go grocery shopping alone? With the kids? As a family?

We usually go as a family...and that's why we have no groceries in the house. We haven't been shopping in a while.

I prefer to go alone - it's hard enough to go with DH, I can't imagine going with kids!

We started splitting up the kids too. DH will keep one and I take one… We switch it up depending on their moods and schedules. Sometimes I have been able to go alone as well. Solo grocery trips are sooo nice!

Usually alone. Since I started my job, I've been really good about sitting down on Sunday, meal planning, then leaving E with D and going grocery shopping.
Or sometimes we go as a family, but that usually involves D walking around with E while I go through the list

It depends. I try to go alone after the kids go to bed, but most of the time I take both or take DD with me.
We rarely grocery shop as a family.

@lovehoneybee: That's what we used to do, DH would entertain A and I would zip through as fast as possible. She's in this "I want to do things my way or else...." stage, and that usually means several tantrums each trip. Not cool!

I typically go with my son he is good 90% of the time but has to sit in the cart that's a car and eat deli meat and cheese the whole time.

it varies, but the easiest way to shop when I have to bring LO is by wearing him. I like the extra cuddles we get and he stays relatively calm as long as i move quickly through the aisles.

If I go during the week, then I go with my son. If it's on the weekend, I go alone. I couldn't even tell you the last time my husband stepped inside a grocery store. He's been banned because he only buys cookies and bacon. Ha ha.

I used to always go with J during the day but since I have 2 now it's so much easier to do it when DH is home and just leave them with him for an hour. It's funny how an hour with 2 kids makes him appreciate me

Sometimes, usually when we're planning on hitting up Costco and a few other specialty groceries, we'll all go together and make it a "fun" trip by stopping for coffee or something. But for a quick trip to one store I usually just take DS, who is 11 months. He thinks it's a fun outing and loves the store!

We never go as a family. I usually take 1 or 2 kids with me. They love the grocery store so the shopping part is never bad. It's more of a pain to get all the bags inside the house and up our stairs with kids in tow.

Depends! Would love to go alone, but that never happens. LO is in this phase where she wants to push the cart and run away from me down the aisles. So distracting! I like to go really slowly, read labels, check for sales. My toddler will have NONE of that.

I go alone on a Monday night after E goes to bed. The grocery store is dead on a Monday night and I can just whip through my list.

We go as a family - my husband mans the cart and I push M in the stroller. I'll go alone or with her during the week to a Whole Foods or Trader Joe's to pick up some odds and ends, but I can't handle a lot of packages when it's just me and her.

I go with LO during the day. Often my mom will come too and do her shopping at the same time- so we have a list checker and a baby wrangler. Don't know how it will change when I go back to work though.

Usually it's me and lo! When we have two maybe I'll start going alone. Lo is very wiggly as a toddler but she was sort of that way as a little baby, but back then she had no words either. So I kind of think it's easier with a toddler than a baby..for me at least!

We go together, but we split up in the store. My husband is responsible for hitting the bakery to get our fresh rolls for breakfast that day and the milk, yogurt, eggs, etc. He then heads over to the deli to get the order.
I run through the rest of the store and meet them in produce. It works surprisingly well and then my son helps load all the stuff on the belt.

We usually go together. Sometimes I go to the farmers market by myself. It's such a quick trip, and I'm less likely to impulse buy.

I shop online, makes me wonder why I ever need to go to a grocery store again! But before I started doing that I would go alone, hubby likes to go down all the aisles without a list and I just couldn't handle that.
