love the pun, haha. yup we do - the 6 weeks we missed due to waiting for LO to be older after her birth was the longest that both DH and I had not attended church for in our entire lives!

DH, LO and I just started in February.
I emailed a whole whack of Catholic Churches in our area, sent an email that stated "our situation" (I am not Catholic, we weren't married in the Catholic Church, DH is a Catholic School teacher (lol) and that I wasn't sure where to start) and the most sincere response we tried that church and it's been great. We hope to stick with it, huuuge congregation and I am not totally feeling out of place like I do when I go to church in DHs hometown.
I didn't vote.....but if I have to I'll go marshmallows, it will be regularly....it's just too soon, lol.

We're atheists, but we attend church when we're with my in-laws for holidays.

I have been trying to go pretty regularly. I went every week growing up, DH did not. So lately it has been me and the 3 kids by myself.

Yep. DH and I were both raised Mennonite and not attending church every Sunday is like, well, just unimaginable. Lol. We do go because we want to, though, it's not like some thing we just keep doing or anything. We're now members in an Evangelical Free church.

We're between religiously & regularly... I miss Wednesday nights but it's just too hard having P out that late. =(
sidenote: I actually met DH at church!

yup, every sunday! and bible study/community group on wednesdays!

Nope, I was raised Catholic but now couldn't disagree more with the church. DH is atheist and would rather our LO(s) not be raised religious at all. I'd like to expose them to the occasional church experience (Christmas and maybe Easter), but it is most definitely NOT going to be a Catholic church. I refuse to bring my child(ren) up in a religion that does not treat all people equally and preaches that those who are different from us are sinners.
So to answer your question, no, we do not go to church, and realistically, we won't be going to church.

3x a week is a lot. As a kid I went once a week. Now, never. DH and I are thinking about whether we want to start...

We used to go religiously, but it's been stressful due to LO's sleep schedule... now we're only making it once a month and I hate it

@Beebug: similar situation here!
Just moved in Feb. SO is Catholic, I am "Christian" . We are not married but just had a baby. I tried to find a church that was accepting of us despite our less than optimal situation. We are now attending weekly.

I'd like to but I gett of work at 6 am on Sundays and the last thing I want to do it get back out of bed and go sit in a sermon. Sorry, God, we will have to chill another time!

Yes, my Dh and I go to church pretty much every Sunday. We found a new church last year and we love it. We also go to a small group/bible study where we discuss the sermon more in depth and take prayer requests for each other.

I'm not religious at all (though I was baptized as a child) neither DH nor LO are baptized and we don't go to church. I'm not sure what I believe.

We take A every other week (ish) to get her used to it and I like to get her blessed before her ultrasounds in case it helps.

Yep, every Sundays and holy days of obligation. Since becoming a mom, I have become more religious.

Yep every Sunday. I don't always stay the whole three hours but that's due to anxiety.

A couple of times a year. The older I get the less I enjoy going.

Yup, every Sunday. DH just elected to the church board, so he'll be going to meetings one night a month as well. We also participate in church events. I'm active in the women's ministries, and DH runs powerpoint 2-3 times a month. We've both volunteered in the nursery, done skits for children's church, and who knows what else! It's a small congregation, but very important to us.

I grew up going to church 3 times a week but we haven't found a church here. It makes me sad. It was always such an important part of my life and I want the same for DS. I could really use the support from a church family while.living so far from home.

We gi most Sundays and holy days of obligation. If we miss a mass due to illness or schedule conflicts, though, I don't sweat it.
GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22276 posts
Rarely. We only go for some event like a dedication for someone, a wedding or around the time we were getting married, for classes. We are not very religious.

We used to go regularly but have moved towns and are yet to find a new church - this last year has been crazy! We have gone a few times to our old church when we've been in the neighborhood, so I chose sometimes.

I attend several Masses on the weekend and I attend school Mass on Wednesdays.

The church I love, my parents church, is a 40 minute drive from where I live now. I've had a hard time finding a new church where we live, cause it's awkward for me to just go to a new church. There's one near our place we go occasionally, but since I don't know anyone there, and I'm so pregnant, I don't want to deal with it right now.

@katiew92081: we literally just went through this. It made me so sad to leave our home church. LO is 6 weeks old so we haven't been to church since he was born but i think we landed on one before I had him. It is hard to plug in, though, since we don't know many ppl there

I do not. I'm atheist. DH goes ever Sunday and helps teach the 'coming of age' classes. He goes to a UU church. I may end up joining him, but only because they're open to my views and the focus at his church is living a good life and community and I think spending time focusing on those things each wk is healthy.

DH goes weekly. I go once a month. It's hard for me to do all thd standing and kneeling right now (we're Catholic) so I've been skipping. And it's tax season, so I don't get to sleep in on Saturdays lol so I try to sleep in on Sundays. I think when LO arrives, we will make a more concerted effort to go regularly and to the same parish.

We're Roman Catholic and go every Sunday and on Holy Days of obligation. I've thought of going to some of the week day Masses, but they're early and that's tough for me with LO. I missed a few times during pregnancy because I felt sick, and after my c section I took a couple of weeks off to recover. DH had them bring the eucharist to me at home after the birth, which was nice.

As a teenager, I used to go 3+ times aweek. I was super active in my youth group, led worship at our teen church, sang in holiday services,.volunteered in the nursery, and participated in small group bible studies.
Some things happened back then that really shook my faith, especially in that church, but I have been thinking about going back because I would like DD to have some basic religious knowledge. DH is agnostic, so he won't join us.
