We have a changing pad on LO's dresser and that has been ok but I think I want a designated changing table for Baby 2!
Do you have a changing table? Are you happy with it or could you do without it?

Love that! I have the matching crib for future use. Actually my mom just dropped off a pink dresser I used at my wedding that I was thinking of converting into a changing table. But I have a changing table similar to the one you posted, just more modern and I don't like the look of it.

We just put a changing pad on top of LO's dresser, and that works well since we have a pretty small space right now.

We just put a changing pad on his dresser. We didn't have the space for dresser, crib and changing table and I didn't want a combo of any of the 3

Yes, we do and we use it everyday! The only people I know who don't use one/have one....well their house is huge and it would be a PITA to go upstairs to the nursery every time there was a dirty diaper

We have one and I love it!! It's one of our most used baby items I much prefer it over a changing pad on top of a dresser.

Kinda - I have a desk-ish piece of furniture that was my Aunt's then my sewing table and we just whacked a changing pad on top of it. It's actually the ultimate in recycling as my Grandfather repurposed it out of a dresser about forty years ago!

Don't have a changing table... For first few months, used a changing pad on a dresser. Now, they wiggle around so much, I use the changing pad on the floor. I think changing table is not worth it for only a few months of use unless u use it for something else later.

Yes! I'm so glad we have it because I have baskets for diapers, medical supplies, blankets and wipes underneath on the shelves.

We dont have one, just a pad on the dresser. Most of the time, we just change her on the floor anyway. No way am I walking upstairs every time she's dirty.

No, we had a handful of washable/waterproof mats that we just threw down where ever--usually the bed but also the floor, my lap, etc. I think a towel would work too. We have never had the space for a changing table and I prefer multifunctional furniture since space is at such a premium here!

We don't. I put a changing pad on her dresser. We only have a 2 br apartment, so I used the extra space in her room for a full sized bed.

Yes, my mom found it at a store going out of business for $30. Otherwise we probably would've just put a pad on the dresser.

I have a Jenny Lind style changing table that we painted a bright color, and LO loves it. She loves lying on it, probably her favorite spot in the nursery. We also have the crib, I love both pieces!

For those who have a changing table and love it, what are the benefits? I was always thinking of putting a changing pad on a dresser to save space, but now I'm second guessing that idea! Our second bedroom/nursery is only 10 x 12...

We have a changing pad on a dresser too and it's really worked out. I wouldn't want it any other way, even if we had the room for a separate changing table.

@sweetchic: For me, I love that you can safely strap them in and walk away to grab something or wash your hands. With a dresser, you'd have to install straps on your dresser that will secure the changing pad. Changing tables come with straps installed. I also like the open shelving. Super convenient for accessing stuff. And I like the height of changing tables too. We paid $75 for ours so it was worth it.
we used ours until my son was 1.5! and we're using it now with our second baby. so we'll probably get around 3-4 years of use out of it.

Pad on the dresser - I feel like T will soon outgrow that situation altogether - he squirms and flips, etc. so I think in no time I'll be doing all diaper changes on the floor. Our pad is strapped to the dresser as well.

Nope. We wanted a dresser for storage and after everything else we got for the room adding a changing table would have been too crowded.

I wish we had room for the changing table. I would have loved the extra storage space underneath but alas, our room was too small. The dresser has worked out just fine though.

We have the Graco Lauren changing table. We used it a lot until DS was 9 months old. I'm glad we had it, especially for the storage it provided. Originally, I didn't expect to use it much, but I would absolutely buy another for baby two.
If you do decide to buy one, I would go with a cheaper model. While useful, I don't think it's anything that needs to be "top of the line."
