Oh following along! I want to get one for my birthday when DD is 1. If I can throw another question in, what kind of bike do you have if you love your seat? I have a cruiser.

I have the Wee Ride Kangaroo. http://www.weeride.com/Kangaroo-Center-Mounted-Child-Bicycle-Carrier
I wish we bought it when she was 1 year old because i'm pretty sure she'll be too big for it next summer. I think i would've checked out the iBert, but we didn't have any in my area for sale. I would also look into the Yeppi. I personally love the front child seat over the rear seat. I interact with her quite a bit on the rides.
@birdofafeather: I have a Kona Dew Plus commuter bike. It is the smallest bike and it JUST fits.

DH really wants one but it freaks me out since we live in a very busy city. It would make a great Christmas gift but our neighbor just got run over on her bike close to our house and she's really messed up.

@sheskrafty: Omg, that's horrible!!! While the weather was good, LO and i commuted to work, about a 30 minute bike ride one way. I am super cautious while riding with her. I go on bike friendly streets and multi-use trails, get off the bike when crossing intersections, use hand signals, constantly look back and bike in the middle of the road so that cars don't push me off to the side. I find google maps pretty useful when mapping out bike routes.

@Freckles: That is awesome you were able to commute with her! We have some great bike trails nearby which would be great to take DD on. I'll definitely check out the Wee Ride!

We have the Yepp Mini and would buy it again a million times over!!!!
ETA: she always wears a helmet, this was when we first bought it and were testing the fit.

@Rainbow Sprinkles: that's the only one I've seen so far that looks even close to comfortable for the parent. Also, sad you have to put up a disclaimer about the helmet (eyeball roll).

@mediagirl: it's so comfortable, and so easy to take on and off. It's one of the only ones that fits on our beach cruisers properly, too!

@Rainbow Sprinkles: That one looks so comfortable for both LO and parent!
I haven't gotten one yet, but I'll be looking for one in the spring.

We have one by the brand giant: http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-us/gear/product/progeny.bs.2.child.carrier/548/25022/
It's comfortable for us- he rides behind us. We like it and for $50 it was worth it. I do wish it was a little more cushy though. There is very little padding so initially as he was getting used to it, he would cry going over some of the bigger bumps in the road!
We do like it though.
I'll post a pic later, I'm on my work computer so I don't have one here.

@Rainbow Sprinkles: That's the one i wanted but i couldn't find it in our area!
@mediagirl: Here is a great link to different bike seats. http://totcycle.com/blog/all-about-front-child-bike-seats.html

@Freckles: the only store (other than online) we found it in was REI.

@Rainbow Sprinkles: super old post but we just got a yepp maxi at the rei garage sale for super cheap. DH got me a different seat for Christmas but it doesn't fit either of our cruiser bikes. Did the maxi not for your cruiser and that's why you went with a mini?
