I always perceived class rings as an American thing. I don't know a single person in Canada who has one.
Is it very popular to get one? Do you have one? Do you wear it?

Yes, I have a college ring because I am obsessed with my alma mater! But I do not have a high school ring

I have one but I've never worn it. I wish I didnt buy it, but at the time I thought I *should* have one.

I have one. Have worn it since my senior year. It's pretty understated - just solid gold with the imprint of the seal of the university. It's just part of me after all these years.

I have it. I wear it for a month or so, then switch rings but I always have it in the rotation.

I think it's totally an American thing! However, Canadian engineers have the iron ring and that's how I can tell people are Canadian expats in America.

No class rings but I wish I would have gotten a college ring. I'm so proud of my college even though I graduated 6 years ago.
As for high school, I know I wanted one when I was in school but I'm glad I didn't have the money to spend on it.
ETA: Just looked at prices for a school ring and it's $600! Yeah, no. I thought I could get an nice Alumni ring. Don't think that's going to happen.

I don't have a college class ring. Both the Mr. and I have high school rings, though.

Yes, it s a big honor/tradition where I graduated. You wear it facing you when you are undergrad and at graduation everyone turns their ring out!

No, it wasn't even offered at my school that I'm aware of. I did have one in high school, which I lost right away. I will try to convince LO not to get one! ha

Nope because it was expensive/not cute and I didn't foresee myself wearing it frequently.

My SIL bought DH and I college class rings for our graduation; neither of us have ever worn ours, lol!

I do. I got it at the end of my sophomore year and wore it though college, grad school, and the first few years I worked until I lost a bunch of weight and it got too big.

Oh, but look at how cute it is!

@lydg: You wouldn't happen to be a fellow Aggie, would you?
At the A&M, where I graduated from and now work, it's a humungous deal, and I love mine!

You know I was just looking around Josten's website, you can get alumni rings with the year you graduated.
Anyone consider getting the ring when they were in school and remembers the Josten's sales rep saying that if you didn't buy the ring now that you would never be able to get them again because the molds would be destroyed every year. That's a biggest load of BS!
