Costco is like a 20 minute drive for us - I consider that a long drive. Heh. Also, we don't have extra freezer storage so it doesn't make sense for us to buy in bulk. For non perishables, I think supermarket sales are just as good - I just stock up then.

Yup, we got one and I go about once a week or once every 2 weeks. Costco has now replaced my Target trips. From one shopping addiction to another! At least, I can get gas at Costco!

Costco is about 20 min from us and it's on my way home so it's convenient for me to stop for gas.

Oh, I have the executive membership where I get 2% back and paired with my Costco Amex, I can get another 1-2% back. I got a $75 check last year and that paid for half of my membership. This year, I'm sure I'll get enough back to pay for my membership completely.

We usually go every two weeks. They have really good deals on coffee beans, cheese, organic tortilla chips and salsa, various organic canned and frozen goods, maple syrup, quinoa, cereal, pasta, beer... I feel like this is such a random list, but there's lots of good stuff! Plus the one near us always seems to have cute baby/toddler clothes (mostly Carter's, but also sometimes Hanna Andersen, Little Me, Levi's jeans, etc.) for way less than other places.

We have a Sam's Club membership. I got about once a month.

YES. We have a Costco like 5 minutes away. I go *at least* twice a week. Sometimes more

Costco is 2 miles away so we go weekly. We buy gas, fruit, organic chicken/beef, diapers, wipes, beer/wine, some prepared foods and paper products and tons of other stuff.

We looooooooove Costco! We save SO much on gas it makes it so worthwhile. We fill up 3x a month and I save ~$5/fill up and DH saves ~$3.50 so after 2 months we've saved enough to pay for our membership fees.

We go to BJs and we get a discount on the membership thru work.

Its great for gas - right now they are 12 cents cheaper than other places!

I get vitamins, chicken, meatballs, bread, milk, eggs, yogurt and paper products.

After combining a manufacturer coupon with a BJs coupon I can get great deals!!

@bluestriped bee: This is us too with the Amex rewards. We get almost $200 back each year and we use that money to stock up on almost a years worth of paper goods and stuff like that.

We do, but we don't go often because it's far. They have great prices on meds if you're paying OOP!

We do, but I'll be honest, we don't use it that frequently. We tend to buy large items, like our outdoor set, cantilever umbrella, full sized bed, safe, etc.

Just as an FYI, you can shop there without a membership if someone buys you a gift card.

We go every week. Our weekly purchases are: bananas, lettuce, tomatoes, milk, bread.

We buying ~ monthly: ground turkey, frozen chicken breasts, shredded cheese, tortillas, carrots, frozen kale, frozen peas, frozen corn, frozen green beans.

We buy less often: coffee beans, toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent

I'm sure I'm missing tons. We don't have to go to Target/Wal Mart anymore, and I only go to the grocery store once a month to get things that are cheaper there (some veggies, some fruit, all canned goods, pasta, pasta sauce, dried beans, lunch meat, sliced cheese, etc)

Yes we do. We go relatively often, like every 2 weeks or so. I think it's totally worth it. There are definitely good deals to be had there, and we buy a lot of non-perishables in bulk and store them in our basement.

Yup...Costco is like 5 minutes from our house so we go whenever we need to. DH buys his eggs there (eats them every morning) and we buy fruit and salad stuff there. Sometimes we buy snacks and cereal (if we are eating it at that time).

We buy lots of non-food items too. We buy our animals' food there, toilet paper/paper towels, other household items. They also sell gift cards to our favorite chain restaurant for a 20% discount. We always buy gift cards before going.

We let ours expire bc we weren't going often enough to make it worth it, but bil has a membership and I ask him to pick certain things up for me, particularly the Kirkland wipes. They also usually have the Olay face lotions that I use.

@looch: wait, what?! So f bil bought me, say a $200 gift card, I can go and use it without being a member? Sometimes Dh will go with bil and do shopping but it involves coordinating, him paying cash... A gc and me and C going on a weekday would be way easier (and I could easily pay bil for the "gift" of course).

Yes, and we got the Costco Amex this year, that's how much we use it. We go at least once a week (milk, eggs, fruit, a rotisserie chicken). It used to be 2 mins away, now it's 15 mins away, but still on the way home (right near daycare) so it's an easy trip for us.
