I was talking to a friend who said he threw out his DVD player, since he only has Blu-ray discs.
Later that evening, I realized that I don't even have a Blu-ray player! The only way I can play my old DVDs is to insert it into the CD-ROM (DVD-ROM?) on my PC... it's amazing how things have changed!
Do you have a DVD player? A Blu-ray player? Some sort of disc player in your PC? Something else entirely?

We have a DVD player that's a few years old now. DH wants some sort of gaming console for Christmas...I think they all play DVDs now? If so we'll probably get rid of the DVD player and just use that, whichever it ends up being.

we had a dvd player, but one day it randomly stopped working. so now we use my macbook exclusively to watch dvds. we still hook it up to the big screen though to get a large picture.
we don't have blu-rays.

Our PS3 plays both DVDs and blu-rays. We also recently got a separate blu-ray player only because it came free with the new TV we bought.

We were gifted with a blu-ray player after one of Hubs' friends got a new one. We just use it for dvd's and blu-ray discs.

We watch DVDs on our Xbox and are heavy Netflix users so it gets a lot of use.

We have an old DVD player that plays regular DVD's, but also a PS3 to play our Blu-Rays! I NEVER buy DVD's or Blu-Rays anymore... there's no need with all the streaming movies going on these days! They will soon be obsolete..

I have DVD players in various forms (gaming consoles, standalone, etc.), but I'm pretty anti-blu ray since we're watching more and more content via netflix and other streaming services. Pretty sure discs will be relics at some point in the near future, so I'm probably not going to invest in any new disc formats.

We have an old DVD player and a cheapy blu ray (black Friday few years ago) but hardly ever use them. The lifesaver DVD Player is the portable DVD player for the kids. Used extensively on our many trips overseas!

We bought a Blu-ray player earlier this year and retired our DVD player. Of course we're really bad at throwing stuff out and have 4 DVD players and 2 VHS players (built in to an old tv & combo with DVD). Most are hand me down items that we have yet to get rid of.

We have a DVD player from about 2008, but it's part of our surround sound package. These days, we attach a laptop to our tv also connect to the DVD player for the sound system. We used to rent a lot of DVDs (netflix, blockbuster online, redbox) up until 2011. I can't remember the last time we actually watched a DVD!
And we don't own a blue ray player because we're too cheap to pay more for the blue ray discs!

the one in our bedroom stinks! the remotes never work right for some reason, no matter how new the batteries are and how close we are to the player.
downstairs, our Blu-Ray stopped working about a year ago, so we use the xbox to play dvds.

We have a cheapie DVD player that goes with a little TV we put in our bar (and occasionally in the downstairs bathroom--- watching a movie in the tub is the ultimate luxury!), for our main TV, we watch through DH's Xbox.

I don't think we've ever owned a DVD player (or Blu-ray player) other than whatever comes in our laptops! And at least one of the laptops doesn't even have a drive now. They just don't seem necessary because we use Netflix and Apple TV.

have have a blu ray & a dvd recorder in the living room and a regular dvd player in the bedroom. we have connecters for the iphone to the tvs to watch netflix that we use a lot.

Yep but we never use it! We put all of our dvd's on our hard drive so we watch all of our movies through our computers. We have a computer hooked up to the TV and keep a hard drive hooked up to that computer with all of our movies on it.

Yep, we have 2 DVD players, a PS3/Blu-Ray, and two, yes TWO VHS players 
And we use them frequently lol!

We play dvd's on the computer, but we also watch everything else on it because it's a desktop with a big screen and we have no tv (if you remember my living room post). We have an old ps2 hooked up to a tv in a corner of the basement, but it doesn't get much love.
