Do you love it?
ILs generously gifted us a "Christmas in July" Dyson Animal 65 Complete. Too thoughtful!! We just got it today, I've never been so excited to vacuum (it's my least favorite chore!)

I have the Dyson ball. I still dislike vacuuming but it's much more tolerable now

A friend gave me her old one because she wanted a new one. It's amazing. I now understand why people would pay those prices for a vacuum. Mine is 7 Yeats old and is like new.

Yes. We registered for it when we got married on a silly whim, and someone actually got it for us!

I have never heard of the Miele before, but this thread has got me intrigued! I would loooove to buy a Dyson but we just don't have that kind of cash to spend on a vacuum right now. Boo.

@erinpye: When I first read your post I thought you were saying that you got married on a silly whim! Haha

I like Dyson in theory, but given that the majority of our house is hardwood and we don't have shedding pets, we don't need a fancy vac. We have an Electrolux, which used to be the gold standard for vacs when I was growing up.

Yes... It really does it job! It's just heavy to me tho but DH took over vacuum duties haha!

Does anyone use a dyson on wood floors? We have wood floors on our whole first floor, i'm not sure if a dyson would be worth it if we can't use it in our main space.

We have one, not sure what model. It's good, but not as OMG amazing! as I thought it would be. Plus, the hose part where you can pull it out and vacuum the couch is awful, and hard to use! I just end up picking up the whole thing and vacuuming the couch just like I do on the floors!

We have a Miele and we love it! A great vacuum makes chores much less cumbersome.

@LaughLines: we have the Dyson multi surface and go from carpet to hardwood. It's awesome. I highly recommend it.

@LaughLines: I use my Dyson on our wood floors and it is great. I just shut the brush off.
