I do! I used to feel bad about it, but then my favorite switched... and I realized that my favorite is just whichever kid is listening better. Now I feel ok about it - but I hide which one is my favorite from my kids. I wonder if they can tell anyway? I don't think so, but you never know!

I only have the one LO so she's my favorite. Even when she doesn't listen.

I only have one LO and I love her so much I feel like the one in my belly will always be second favorite 
My parents both have clear favorites (my brother for my mom and me for my dad). It's totally fine, they both love both their kids but they have a favorite, no one feels bad about it.

@Truth Bombs: I'm my dads fave and my brother is my moms too. It's pretty obvious. Even more obvious when/if my brother and I fight haha.

Yeah, sometimes. One of my kids is much more difficult than the other and has a personality that's a bit harder to bond with. Then I go through moments where I'm completely amazed by her and feel really guilty, but I think this is just a tough season and things will be totally different a year or two from now. I think once she's able to express herself better, we will bond more.

This made me laugh. I only have my one LO, so no favorite as yet, but my 4 siblings and I tease our parents that there a favorite numbering system. I'm currently #1 because I have the newest grandbaby (moved from last place to first, yes!). My parents don't seem amused...

@Tanjowen: haha I'm one of five kids and we always talk about who the favorite is. We pretty much agree that my older sister is moms favorite. Dads changes based on recent events- and I have the youngest grandbaby and I'm pregnant, sooooo....

I don't yet but I'm only 2 weeks into being a parent of 2. I definitely feel less of a bond/less amazed by LO2 than I felt with LO1 but the longer she's here, the more and more I start to like her. We'll just have to see what personality emerges as she gets older!

I absolute 100% don't have a favorite, BUT there are days when one is in a really sweet/funny/adorable mood and the other is grouchy or whatever. But then the next day it's reversed, so it's impossible to favor one over the other.

Nope. Not at all, but they are only 1 and 2.5. I wonder if it will change as they get older.

Yep. Whoever listens, impresses or cuddles me is my favorite for the day! Haha. I love them all the same though. But yeah, some days I appreciate the "easy" one.

I only have 1 so I can't answer from experience but favoritism is very apparent on my inlaw's side. You can clearly tell who is the favorite sibling (siblings) or cousin and I feel so bad for the others. Luckily, we're right in the middle (neutral ground) so I can stay out of that drama.

@Tanjowen: haha my brothers and I openly agree my oldest sister is the favorite and my parents are not amused either they always tell us they have no favorites and love us all equally.

My parents always say they don't play favorites but admitted once they might struggle more with some of us (cue neon flashing sign over me and my sisters head, haha).

Both of them are my favorites for different reasons. I bond a lot with my son because I drive him to school every day, and he's super sweet and easygoing, and he's older so he's easier to converse with. My daughter is my little dolly and she's quite mercurial, so she does frustrate me a lot but she also brings me a lot of joy and laughs.
