We don't!
Would love one in the future
I don't think I'd burn real wood in it though. Smells great but gets so messy

Yup! It was a requirement for me when we were house hunting! It's a gas fireplace, but I would love a wood burning One in the future.

Yes. We hardly use it though since it doesn't get very cold.

Yes, our last house had a wood burning fireplace, but our new house has a gas fireplace. I prefer the gas fireplace, it's a lot easier!

We have a wood fireplace! Sadly though, we haven't felt safe using it since we had kids...

We have one. I'm in Florida so it rarely gets used, but I love when it does.

We have two but we never use it, too lazy! We used to have a gas one so we used that.

Yep, it's on now. But it's more like an old-fashioned wood burning stove. It even looks old (much older than our house). I love it! DH hates it and wants it replaced because he says it's not efficient at warming the room.

Yes, our rental has a gas fireplace but we have yet to figure out how to turn it on!

Yes, a very nice brick one but we've never used it- we had candles in it, but got a new entertainment center so our tv sits in it. I'm looking at mantles at Home Depot to add to it.

Yeah, we have a gas fireplace. It's great to throw on for ambiance, but as far as heating, it's way more efficient to just bump the heat up. We're looking for a house and would loooove a wood-burning one...

Yup!!! Can't wait to have a fire on Christmas! It is wood burnin so we're leaving it for this year to see what we think.

Yes! But it's wood. We wanted to has a gas insert but we're probably going to sell soon.

Yep! Woodburning brick fireplace, we love it!
Fh buys a quart of wood for $80 and it lasts us a long MI winter season!

Yes, we have a wood burning fireplace with a beautiful mantel! Now we just need a screen for it.

Our new house has 4! We'll probably only use one of them, though
bananas / 9973 posts
Yes. It was on my requirements for a new home when we were looking. DH is against me actually using it, but it makes for a great focal point and I LOVE having a big mantle!

We have two gas fireplaces, but we'd love a wood burning fireplace, in the future. Or we'll just borrow ones of @Mrs. Jacks: lol!

I grew up with a real fireplace, it was the best, smelled so good. We have a gas firplace now and even though it's not as magical, man is it easy and awesome.

@shopaholic: Yeah, it's ridiculous, but there is one in the entry way, one in the living room, one in the dining room and one upstairs on the third floor. The one upstairs has a very Tahoe cabin feel and that's the one we're likely to use.
@honeybee: I'm sure we'll have a fire when you are over one time
pomegranate / 3809 posts
Yes, but we never use it! It open on both sides, so the draft between the rooms draws the smoke out into the house

@Mrs. Jacks: Probably not until the New Year now. With all the craziness of moving and Christmas, I don't think we 'll be able to come over on the 18th now.

Yes, love using it in the winter - makes everything feel so much more festive!

we do but we live in a rent house and don't mess with it. we have a great metal chimenea in the backyard though.

We have two, both wood burning. We use the one in our living room all the time, don't use the one down in the future family room at all right now.
eggplant / 11824 posts
we have 2 - both gas. We originally wanted a wood fireplace, but they can be pretty energy and heating ineffecient. I'd love to have a wood insert stove one day though; the one I have my eye on has a pizza/bread oven on the bottom!
