This was our first month budgeting our groceries/eating out. I set our food budget at $600. We've spent $595 bucks so far!
HAHA. we have plenty of food in the freezer still that will probably last us til the end of the year.
I really wanna go grocery shopping though. 
I'm out of bacon!! And I need some veggies too.
Do you have a food budget? How good are you about not going over?

Not really. When I go, I just know what we need, and only buy those things, nothing extra. Plus I look at the coupons before I go to make sure I don't miss a really good buy!

we do have a budget. it's pretty high. (like over $1,000 high) and we always exceed it. we eat out a lot. we'll have to cut down on it when our kids come.

We have a grocery budget then an eating out budget. I even have a booze line item. When we get close we totally start to eat out of the pantry and freezer!

Our grocery budget is high for us right now because of my husband's allergies - $400/mo. We then have an eating out budget of $100, which we don't always use.
ETA: we don't go over. We will eat sandwiches, beans, rice, etc if we hit our limit!

We don't really. We tried having a budget for food, but we always went over. We spend probably about $500-$600 in food, $200 in booze and another $200-$300 going out to eat/takeout. I wish it was less, but good food is expensive, so it is what it is.

Yeah, abot $200 a month. I do pretty good since I coupon and get chicken on sale (HATE buying meat!). Also use the Crockpot a lot. You should check out Southernsavers.com. I think I saw you said you live in GA (me too!) and it's great for matching coupons.

We have a budget of $300 a month for two of us. That includes dog food and house hold items. I usually don't go over the budget.

Not really a set budget, we usually estimate around $100 a week for groceries and eat out about 3x a week- so roughly $550 a month I guess as a total. Some weeks are more, some are less, it varies with how I'm feeling too.

We don't have a set budget but I know what is too much. Our "budget" consists of what bills we have, what other obligations we need to account for, and then "leftover." So much of whatever the "leftover" is that week goes to food, and it varies. I kind of use a "Cringe Meter" at the check out... if I cringe when they tell me the total number, it's too much! That can be anywhere from $60-$100 weekly. That's just groceries - thankfully DH gets a per diem for eating out and I eat out at work probably twice a week, so eating out isn't a huge expense for us.

We don't have a set budget but if we did we would never be able to stick to it. Where we live the food is really expensive and for just two people I probably spend $800 a month, and we eat out a lot so maybe double that figure.

We go to the grocery store every 2 weeks and we try to spend about $100, so $200 per month. We also probably spend about $100 a month eating out.

I need to set one, I go grocery shopping at least twice during the week and we do a big shop on the weekend. Problem is the grocery stores never really have huge sales, the prices are the prices and that's a bummer. Coupons also don't exist, so there's not much I can do to save that way. On the flip side, we save a lot in eating out and takeout...our options are very limited so we're forced to eat at home.

We are around $300/month for groceries and another $200 or so (usually more) on eating out. We are working to cut back on the eating out budget, but it usually just results in the grocery budget going up.

We spend around $100 a week on groceries for the two of us, that includes all of our meals as we bring our lunch to work with us.

We don't have a food budget but I do try and limit our meals outside of the home to once a week (usually on Friday nights) and I pack our lunches for work. I think in general we spend around $60-$100 a week on groceries. We try and buy locally so generally prices are a little more than produce at the supermarket.

We don't have a food budget, lord knows we would never stick to it and I would just end up feeling guilty all the time. We are however going to make a concerted effort to eat out way less.
