My dad's our handyman! They come down about once every few months and since we work 7 days a week, my dad gets a lil bored while we're at work. He enjoys it and actually asks us for a list of things we need fixed/repaired while he's visiting!

For more immediate attention items the hubby can't address or doesn't have experience in, we have a good friend that's always there for us! He's similar to my dad in that he's a jack of all trades, and we're so impressed with his skills. We have lots to learn before we can come anywhere near their skill set and knowledge

You could ask your real estate agent for a recommendation. My boss gives out a list of contacts to new home owners and has a couple handymans on her list.
