We have the crane teardrop in DS's room but need one in our room for the baby. It's ok, but I'm not all that thrilled with the mold issue.

I realize it is stupid expensive, but, it works well, it is beautiful, it has a large reservoir, it is relatively easy to clean, and it has a built in water-softening filter.

We like it enough that we have two. One has been going strong with daily use for most of a year (the other we just got this winter because we now have a much bigger space than last year).

I don't love our humidifier, but I like it alright. It's a Vicks. I do like it more than our previous Crane.
On a related note, do people use a humidifier every night in their kid's room? We only use it when she's sick, and a little more in the winter. Have I totally missed the childcare memo on this?

@matador84: ok. That makes me feel better. Sometimes people look at me like I have two heads when I say we don't use ours all the time. But DC is a pretty humid place...

We have one by Pure Guardian. It's $80 or so at Costco and I am in love with it!!!

@Weagle: We don't use ours that often any more because it can aggravate breathing issues. It's not recommended for kids with asthma, for example. You're better off with a purifier.
