We do and it drives me nuts! I always think, there must be a better way... haven't found it yet though.

@mrbee: do you flush tissues or throw them in the trash? my grandmother used to make us flush them because she didn't have a trashcan in her bathroom, maybe flushing tissues would help cut back on needing to empty it. would waste water though, but if you tossed one in and waited until... there was another reason to flush it, you'd save trash space and not waste extra water

We do. I don't know if it's emptied a lot but it's emptied when it's full.
We had to switch to a small step can trash can because our dogs like to take tissues out of our trash. Gross.

@mrs. bird: I usually don't use tissues in the bathroom... I do my best to never use the bathroom trash can!

Ours isn't super tiny, but smaller than a kitchen can. It's the right size to be lined with a target bag, which means emptying it is really no big deal. Pull bag out, replace with new bag.

A friend brilliantly has an almost kitchen sized trash can in her bathroom. I have no clue why we have these tiny little wastebaskets in ours because they fill up so fast!
