We are looking into opening an online savings account, in hopes of being forced to "pay ourselves" first, and build up our savings. I'm pretty new to the whole online bank account thing, so I'm looking for some recommendations and what I should look for.

I have an ING savings account. I signed up for the automatic monthly deposits. It's a good way to save and not have to think about it.

I have a HSBC saving account that I set up for my god daughter when she was baptized. I have it set up for an amount to be deposited once a month. I don't really do anything with it so I can't really recommend it but I don't have anything bad to say about it. The interest rate is better is then our normal savings that is linked to our checking account.
