my 3 year old is insanely sensitive and empathetic. last Christmas she was just 2 and cried during Rudolph and Elf! She was so so sad that Rudolph was sad ("why am I such a misfit?") and just as sad that the Narwhal was sobbing when Buddy left the North Pole. I mean, lip out, eyes watering, true tears. Needless to say, those were turned off very quickly.

Now she is 3 and I was a little more hopeful this year even though she's still extremely sensitive..but again a fail this year. She started getting upset during The Polar Express when the little boy got onto the train - her voice broke and she said he just wanted to back to his home. And again when he was on the top of the train searching for his friend....sigh.

Don't get me started on the Lion King. "Where's the baby? but where did the baby lion go? he wants his mama!" Um, he's a child lion now...

I guess we'll just be avoiding movies forever?! Is anyone else's kiddo like this - tips?
