I don't, but I buy so much stuff from Gap/Old Navy for the kids, I'm wondering if I should get one because they always offer extra discounts when using your card. I would pay it off in full anytime I used it, so the high apr wouldn't really matter. I just don't like having credit cards because I already have enough!

I have a Victoria's Secret one that I've had since I was 18! I think Old Navy/ Gap would be a good one to get, you can get the whole family clothes/ accessories there! and they do offer great discounts!

I have the Gap/ON/BR card and I pretty much only use it at those stores...BUT sometimes they have promotions where if you use it other places a few times within a month you earn an automatic $20 reward. So worth it. The rewards add up pretty fast in general! Recommend!

I have a Macy's card but I hardly shop there anymore. They send me coupons for 20% off all the time.
I also have a Nordstrom card that gets used all the time much to the chagrin of my husband. I got it so that I could get free alterations!
I was thinking of getting a Target card since you get 5% back. However, I have so many credit cards in my wallet I'm not sure I want to carry another one. Plus I don't want to have too many since I like to apply to cards that have great sign up bonuses and I don't want to get denied for those.

We have Best Buy and Home Depot cards. Both were opened when we were making significant purchases and got very long periods of zero percent interest if we opened/used a store card.

I have a BR card, which I use across all the Gap brands. Once you make it to Luxe level (not that hard if you use it across all the brands, including Piperlime), you get free shipping always with no minimum purchase. I buy a lot online, so it's totally worth it, and the rewards stack up fast too. I recommend it!

Omg it was ridiculous.
Now the only card I have is my bank card!

We have 1 credit card through our bank and thats it. We've considered getting a kohls card to save extra money on each purchase, we do a lot of Christmas shopping at Kohls.

@Mrs. Bee: for the BR card, The deal is that you have to make it to luxe level, to get free shipping. which means you have to spend a certain amount, and then you make it there. I can't remember how much it was.. I got there easily since I shop 2 kids and me and DH at Gap, ON, BR, and Piperlime. I'm not really sure which of the different brands is best to have, though. I just happened to have BR card, but you could get a Gap card too. I assume that they have some kind of free shipping level too... It's the only store card I have, aside from Nordstrom.

@Mrs. Bee: I just looked it up. You have to spend $800/year to get the br luxe or gap silver status. I am actually shocked I spend that much and am feeling a little like I need to reign it in. But I guess if you buy shoes at piperlime and buy a few higher priced items at BR a year or clothe your kids majority with these brands, you could definitely meet this. ouch. I need to stop shopping.

@prettylizy: Have you heard of the Chase Freedom card? They do 5% cash back on different categories every quarter. For the Fall quarter (now through Dec 31), Kohls is 5% cash back. While it may not be the same next year, you could at least get 5% cash back for this year's Christmas shopping!
I've also seen 10% cash back on Kohls through their portal (kinda like Ebates).

@sunny: I'm Canadian (live right by the border so I cross border shop often) so I can't get Chase cards, and often don't qualify for the cash back stuff 
Kohls is good though, they let Canaidans apply and save on each purchase

Banana Republic Luxe - love the free shipping, free basic alterations, the rewards (I earn these quick!), and extra discounts for cardholder sales (applies to sister store sales too)
For Nordstroms & Target, I recently got DEBIT cards. Love racking up points for Nordie's and getting early access to their sales... And for Target, the 5% off everytime is awesome.

Gap card is the best! I have a Luxe membership so I never pay shipping. You get so many discounts and then you get rewards for spending money.
I only use that and Pottery Barn/Pottery Barn Kids. You earn good rewards there, too.

I used to in college and then cancelled most of them. Now I only have a Nordstrom & a TJMaxx/HomeGoods/Marshalls cards because I rack up rewards certificates fairly quickly on both of them. I have been thinking reinstating my Target card for the 5% off every transaction. The GAP one sounds interesting, but it's seriously a hassle having too many cards!

The only store card I have is through REI, which I got in college. I'm very wary of signing up for store cards since I don't want to hurt my credit score.
If there was one that I used often enough I would consider it, but so far I mostly use a UPromise card for college savings and am happy with that.

I have a couple- Target (but its linked to my debit account so its not really a credit card but I still get the 5% off everything i buy- totally worth it!!) Gap/OldNavy- high interest rate- so it has to be paid off in full every month. Useful to get those $10-$20 rewards though! I also have a Lowes card for 5% off and since we are constantly renovating something- that %5 off is totally worth it!!

We got a Home Depot card for the interest-free financing on our new house's fridge, washer/dryer, dehumidifier, garage door opener, replacement light fixtures, etc.. I wasn't happy about it, but it's what we had to do.

I've got a New York and Co that I opened and college and only used once, and my DH has a Best Buy card that we really love, we only use it when they have special 0% interest financing deals, and we buy all of our big appliances/electronics that way. We are debating getting a Lowe's card so we can re-do our kitchen with their low financing terms, but who knows! We also have one through my bank and a Capital One card.

We have a Lowes and Macy's one. With Lowes you get automatic 5% cash back on all purchases. And Macy's gives you coupons just for cardholders. And I think the one time we made a big purchase so it made sense to open one.

I have a Macys and a Nordstrom card. I haven't used the Macys one in a long time so I should probably just get rid of it. I use my Nordstrom one often though because I shop there regularly.

I had a bunch right out of college when I got my first (really crappy job) and shopped a lot... GAP, Limited, VS, maybe one or two more. Now I never open any cards!
